As a die hard Jets fan, I approve of this message. I bet every WR refused to go on vacay or even board a plane fearing being stranded on Revis Island. I have hella Jets apparel but only ONE number is on my back - the greatest to do it - Number #24.
I'm a Saints fan. We won the bowl that year. We played the Jets in the regular season. Marques Colston was our best receiver. It might've been the first time I saw someone shut him down. 6 targets, 2 receptions for 33 yards. Brees threw 0 TDs. We won the game because the defense scored twice Revis was that dude.
I will die on a hill that peak Darrelle revis is the greatest lockdown CB ever. Deion got all time and was definitely a better playmaker, but prime revis was a straight up island with a no fly zone
@@quann06he just said deion best ever, u can’t be the best cb ever and not be lockdown 😂, and he saying deion a better playmaker cause every time deion touched the ball u know he gonna show out
And Charles Woodson won the Defensive Player of the Year award that season. Not saying he didn't deserve it that season, but it was unfortunate that Revis fell runner up to the award that year.
Revis had good closing speed on short passes and was really good with his hands. He might not always get the pick but would knock the ball away. For a little guy like that winning battles with u bigger receivers 1 on 1. It was rare to see, because those bigger receivers were a problem for defenses to stop.
I certainly agree with Chad Johnson because all the CBs nowadays are either only good at catching Ints or physical with just being physical and making tackles but NEVER GOOD AT EVERYTHING while also being able to COVER LITERALLY ANYBODY

Revis was robbed a few years of defensive mvp. That man in his prime was invincible
He deflected 31 fckn passes ,that's unreal
Still a single season record

Should've won DPOY AND MVP that year. 31 pass deflections? Nuts. The biggest robbery ever.
He probably would have had less if he would have picked the ball but still impressive
What do know about 09 Woodson? 9 picks 3 returned for a TD. 74 tackles, 9 of them TFLs. 4 FFs 1 FR. 2 sacks.

I’m not so sure… Remember T.O and Randy were aging by the time Revis emerged. Also, Deion was a lockdown CB too. Deion wasn’t just a playmaker.
