According to the recent trailer release of the Acolyte, the show may not be about Bane. However I really hope that is not the case
Even by Kaan's own philosophy, banning the title doesn't really make sense. It's simply a title that denotes rank. By that logic, the title of Sith Lord should have also been banned.
Precisely! During the first Bane book, it explains that the Academy teachers were not fans of the library and archives. They discouraged their students spending time their, declaring that "the past is dead and no Sith Lord before now ever defeated the Republic" which was massively incorrect. The whole brotherhood was a joke, barley held together by Kaans small influence.
How I wish Darth Bane had cited Darth Nox and Darth Marr, my two favorite Old Republic Dark Lords of the Sith 😢
I would include the Wrath, too, but there's no lore-specific Darth title for them 😢
