Hey man, I gota 661 I use everyday, I blow it down, check and sharpen every night, however I noticed today the oiler is starting to leak. this is my 2nd 661c, the first clocked over 600hrs no problems. normally I buy the genuine part and be done with it but being totally truthful I flat cant afford it at the moment. There's very little aftermarket parts available for the 661s. You wouldn't have any suggestions? Maybe the guts from a 066/660 pump might fit the 661c housing? Kind regards from new Zealand.
I got on stihl and looked. Not many 660 oiler parts are interchangeable with 661. :( Looks like a circlip and worm spring are not much else. where is it leaking from?
@@Redbull661 its hard to tell, I've got a parts washer, the kind you hook to a compressor and fill with solvent, and cleaned her up. But Ive been using the old faithful 660! I give the 661 a run over the next few days. Thanks for ur reply man. Il be in touch.
@@Redbull661 I seriously don't crave a ported saw to be honest unless I can figure it out.... there are stories where people find great powerful stihls for a steal of a price. Now port work and engine work is what I need to fucking learn my empty pockets fucking rage with hate
Murk Stalinski seems like ol ‘ Harvey is worth his salt ... Pretty sure he don’t mess with the Stratos - charged saws iirc ... although videos are cool to watch ya AINT gonna learn how to port a saw that way imho

I'd worry about the lil cranks in 064
maybe but they seem to hold up.

@@metlheaddrumr go check out ironhorsechainsaws on CZcams. He has some great porting videos. Quite a few people have been successful learning from him
