Iv'e copied this setup for my home workshop, can I fit a 12v fan to the system internally by connecting the black and red fan cables to the 12v and ground connectors on the green connector block, where the speaker cables connect?

You can get small plug in usb dacs that are raspberry pi compatible. Definitely sound better than 3.5mm audio out
