    I love how baseball players aren't afraid to have fun with each other, whether they're teammates or opponents. I love how the players aren't quick to a fight like Hockey or whatnot. They share laughs, and it makes memories.

      Travis Linton Baseball players don't care. Even in the most heated rivalries, they're all friends after the game. That makes the game pretty boring IMO. Jeter being cheered at Fenway is laughable. In hockey there's real hatred. Mark Messier would never be cheered at the Coliseum (or now, Barclays).

      @@x305tillidiex Dude, his final season in MLB in 2016 at age 40, Ortiz LEAD THE MLB in doubles. Between 2003 and 2016 he hit more doubles than anyone else in the entire MLB, including Albert Pujols. That's pretty impressive - you don't do that unless you've got some marginal running ability.

    • @AD-df5tm
      @AD-df5tm Před 3 lety +1

      Lol. Ortiz hit 584 HR's and 632 doubles. Him constantly bunting to gain a few points of a pretty useless stat like batting avg would be just a ridiculously bad idea.

    • @IWantToBelieve1
      @IWantToBelieve1 Před 3 lety

      @@AD-df5tm We're not talking about a few points, the shift took away a good percentage of his hits. If he were able to establish that he could bunt down the 3B line, they would lay off the shift. That's the point. Any player going against the shift that doesn't do this is just stubborn.

    • @hurricane9851
      @hurricane9851 Před 9 lety +2

      mrmacross more power hitters need to at least try to bunt it down the 3rd base line to try and get them to take off those shifts, if they could learn to bunt effectively then whenever the other teams shift they could just bunt for singles, or like that one cano video bunt into a double.
