At :04 you can hear someone...I'm assuming Ozzie laughing his ass off
I love how baseball players aren't afraid to have fun with each other, whether they're teammates or opponents. I love how the players aren't quick to a fight like Hockey or whatnot. They share laughs, and it makes memories.
I Fail to see what that has to do with anything
Travis Linton Yorando Ventura is the exact opposite
Bodie F f u
Bodie F Yeah, but being a fan of both sports, Ventura is considered to be a thug who is crazy, while any hockey player would be cheered on.
Travis Linton Baseball players don't care. Even in the most heated rivalries, they're all friends after the game. That makes the game pretty boring IMO. Jeter being cheered at Fenway is laughable. In hockey there's real hatred. Mark Messier would never be cheered at the Coliseum (or now, Barclays).
Damn Ortiz was running pretty good down that line
lol now he barely jogs the bases
Daniel IK
Daniel The line itself moved faster than Papi.
@@x305tillidiex Dude, his final season in MLB in 2016 at age 40, Ortiz LEAD THE MLB in doubles. Between 2003 and 2016 he hit more doubles than anyone else in the entire MLB, including Albert Pujols. That's pretty impressive - you don't do that unless you've got some marginal running ability.
I miss ozzie in Chicago
Same
Ditto
Hey Doc D
GarrettFischer1 I miss the World Series being with the white sox
We all do
I Miss Ozzie!!!! He is hilarious. Always was. And so passionate when he was the manager for White Sox.
1:00 - Perfect impression.
I miss the days when the White Sox manager wasn't half-asleep in the dugout...
SuperSparrow45 Renteria’s legit
Ozzie was pretty real with everything always honest.
Man if only you’d have known that a few years after your comment, the White Sox manager would be FULLY asleep in the dugout
This comment aged like a fine wine
Dang I love Big Papi he is a such a good guy
I'm a White Sox fan but yea David Ortiz is great!
+amistry605 i'm a white guy but yea he is great
Also a White Sox fan and always liked Ortiz. He was a class act.
I also remember in 06 after the Sox won the series Ortiz flew with a bunch of the White Sox to the all star game and they talked about how much fun they had and how good of a guy he was.
I'm a White Sox fan and like him too, but he uses roids. Although it was enjoyable watching him destroy that phone in the dugout at Camden Yards.
I was at this game. Later that night Pierzynski caught a pop up near the Red Sox dugout and made a little remark to Ortiz so he spit sunflower seeds at him lol Ozzie also signed a ball for me this night, great day.
When Papi was walking through the dugout. That roster was nuts
Long time Yankees fan but seeing Big Papi and Pedroia next to each other in the dugout laughing is iconic.
Ozzie is the best he’s down to earth not Stuck up
Ozzie just had a presence about him. Like you knew he was going to have your back.
Wadda ya mean with "HAD" ?? Guy still alive!
@@danballe he's not manager anymore. No manager no presence.
I miss Ozzie. He needs to come back!
Good old fashioned baseball right here.
refreshing, ain't it?
Ozzie is awesome!!
Moments like this one are what all teams should emulate. Being able to laugh at each other in between and compete with a sense of sportsmanship from both sides sets a good example to all and is great for baseball and its fans.
Time for the Sox to bring Ozzie Back
Simplemete Ozzie y el Big Papi, que personajes ambos
After all...it is a game at heart.
I met Ozzie in a hotel in Boston about 15 years ago. He was a nice dude he talked to me and my grandfather for a minute about the game that night !!
that was hilarious, he's a good sport
Big Papi was running like he saw a BIIIIIG LUNCH!
I really do miss Ozzie.
hahahah Ozzie funny fir that last bit .. papi is the man #proudredsoxfan4life
That’s awesome!
It’s sad he’s never Managed again!
he totally should
Ozzie's awesome
@@thedude3065 We must be pc and barf lavz maddur!
I never watch baseball highlights and this suddenly got recommended to me. Hello to everyone else this is going to happen too
Ortiz would’ve added .25-.50 points to his batting average if he mastered that bunt down the third base line
Lol. Ortiz hit 584 HR's and 632 doubles. Him constantly bunting to gain a few points of a pretty useless stat like batting avg would be just a ridiculously bad idea.
@@AD-df5tm We're not talking about a few points, the shift took away a good percentage of his hits. If he were able to establish that he could bunt down the 3B line, they would lay off the shift. That's the point. Any player going against the shift that doesn't do this is just stubborn.
Well played Ozzie:)
Ozzie was the best for sure
Why isn't ozzie a major league manager now? He was awesome. The man knows his baseball just as much as anybody. Is he working now? What is he doing?
He's working White Sox pre & post games & I think he's pretty much black listed because no team wants an unfiltered mouth in todays cancel culture. It's a shame because not many know the game better.
Leading off for the Boston Red Sox, DH David Ortiz :D
Ozie said ohh thank you big papi for not hurting us lmafo cause if big papi would've want he would destroy that ball haha
I at least commend Ortiz for trying. If you can't help but hit into a shift, then do what you can to make the defense stop shifting.
mrmacross more power hitters need to at least try to bunt it down the 3rd base line to try and get them to take off those shifts, if they could learn to bunt effectively then whenever the other teams shift they could just bunt for singles, or like that one cano video bunt into a double.
Everybody was like what the heck Papi? What ya doing huh?
Prime Papi and Pedroia are goated
I hear someone laughing their ass off at the beginning, must be Ozzie? LOL
It says coming up Adrain Beltre and he is on the rangers
This was back in 2010 when he played for Boston. Beltre joined the Rangers in 2011
I think he would have made it if he got it down the line
He would eventually get there.
Yeah, um, that's the whole point of bunting with the shift, if you get it down the line it's a hit. Unless you face or something
I like ozzie he should be coaching today
Ozzie was just a little too honest, unpolitically correct? Always spoke what was on his mind. Told The truth about situations. Whatever the subject or question would be.
Who else read "blunt" attempt after getting high and thought "Man, I'm just a high fly ball deep into center field myself"?
1:03
"Adrian beltre coming up" what? He played for the red Sox?
Yes, Beltre played for the Sox, not sure why Ortiz was bunting there, lol.
Nick Perez yea, just for one yr. 2010, iirc
Yeah, it was in between Seattle and Texas. He wasn’t very good in Seattle, signed a one year deal with Boston, hit great and leveraged it into a nice payday with the Rangers.
@@polishtheturdmickelson5473 Because there was a shift and thus nobody near 3rd base. If he'd laid the bunt down along the 3rd base line, he'd be on base.
Didn’t seem like a smart bunting strategy by David Ortiz but pretty funny when Ozzie Guillén had fun clowning around with Ortiz’s bunt lol
ozzie being ozzie.... #Oswaldito #Paio
jajajajajajajajaja freddy Garcia guillen y David ortiz jajajajajajaj
I read that as “Ortiz teases Papi” and got very confused.
Yeah...but why did Ortiz do that?
Not only baseball but Sangre Latina =Latin culture at its best !!!!
Love seeing papi with a wad in his lip idk why I hate dipping lol
Lmao ozzie knew that if Ortiz wanted he could've blast that ball😂😂😂
0:04
Ozzie es un racista con los dominicanos, siempre lo ha demostrado , hablo mal de Pujols, Pedro Martínez, Alex Rodríguez, también es un loco
Idk why there laughing he runs fast as fuck for a guy his size
They were just joking around
Is he making fun of disabeled ppl?
He was like a 4.2 down the line. That's above average.
This video didn't age well!
Umm, this is ableist
What’s so funny?
James 1:5
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
1 Timothy 4:8
For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
If he did that wheelchair gesture today. He will get fired the next day, mlb will have 1 month of DISABILITY MONTH
Yo Honestly... David Ortiz almost beat the throw
Albies better
If papi trained more explosively he would have been ten times the player he was.
Ridiculous comment
@@JJA1987 nope. If he was more athletic he would be better. Whats so ridiculous about that?
