Have you been out lately in 2022? Especially in New York City? I'm licensed to carry, but I did enough killing when I was in the Navy in Vietnam.
Actually this movie is a small jewel. It does not go deep into where the artifact came from, but rather focuses on the action. It is not story driven, but pure action, everybody is fighting to have that artifact that would be a super powerful alien weapon, and everybody wants it and there is only one winner. That story could be told in 5 minutes, but it is shown with very good fighting scenes (realistic choreography) and good action scenes overall. The world and characters are well done, they are believable, at least feel real and I would consider this movie to be the "intro" of the movie, because the end of this movie is just the beginning!!!!That is the beauty of this movie! So I would consider this a teaser, the actual intro to the real fun that is to come now that the weapon has bee acquired, activated and fully operational, This is just an intro that screams for a sequel, but not actually a sequel but the start of the movie! So now you got me hooked, I wanna see how the Powers of the artifact are going to be used, I wanna know how this guy evolves into a super hero, or perhaps a super villain.
A little Master Piece. It is truly different, not in the way the movie announced itself, lol, but it is quite unique, a touch of genius with a lot of love put into this by actors and no doubt everybody else of the crew. Well done, I haven't been easily impressed anymore lately but this one is definitely a jewel, this one left me wanting for more, which is not easily accomplished.

"Regression" would have been a far more appropriate title for this than "Genesis" as everything about it is a step backward. It's not even so-bad-it's-good, it's so-bad-it's-tedious. Sophomoric writing, acting, cinematography, editing, & direction offer zero viewer reward. At the intro we're boldly told "This is not the universe you are familiar with" yet w/the exception of interactive HUDs, everything is all too familiar in the worst/silliest possible way(s).

indeed it does not answer the questions the viewer asks themselves: where does it come from? What does it do? Tell us more about its history and its power! The movie focuses brilliantly on the action, everybody wants to have it and are willing to kill for it! Where the movie ends, it is only where the (untold) story begins. It is a long teaser! I am sure it is on purpose, so much love has been put into this, it has been so well done that we already have a craving audience for a movie that has yet to be made! Genius!
Hopefully there's a part two to this movie. I love Sci-FY.

Conceptually it was great!! We get to see the regular police and what it means to have them upstaged by new ideas which show them inept and still staying in power... this was a huge change in movie possibilities.

the story line could have been better., a whole lot of killing and very little on the actual story of the device. there is much more that could have been added to the story if it had less of the mob stuff.
A lot like the Transformers with the Rubiks Cube/All Spock, or the square that is worshiped at Mecca.
Actually I liked the acting because it wasn't perfect. Perfect acting leaves few possibilities They have something here.
