I knew about loosing the grip but the paddle angle is the key to the return. Thank you Catherine for your video. It was excellent in seeing the blocking technique. I will work on the angle in my block going forward. Growing my game keeps it fun to play each week.

I will be working on number three a lot: rec players love hitting the ball hard. What I really need to practice is blocking and being ready for the next shot. Thanks for the video

Another great video. Thank u! I guess you’re purposely inviting a banger to play the kitchen game and hopefully they are uncomfortable but the downside is that you allow them to come up to the kitchen. It’s hard sometimes cuz we’re “taught” to always force the opponent to stay back and don’t allow them up. I also tried blocking the banger’s ball firmly back resulting in a volley trying to keep them back but end up sending it out of the court. I guess I need a change in mindset.

Excellent video and advice. It's good to hear someone else (besides myself as a coach) suggest that inviting bangers to the NVL can be an effective strategy. It is a myth that everyone is neutral at the kitchen line. Good dinkers have the advantage over less skilled dinkers when all four players are at the NLV. Why not exploit your strength.

"Invite" the tennis player to the kitchen...what a devious concept 😉

Bangers are so annoying staying in the back and slamming the whole time and I love the slight block that forces them to run up

This is the opposite of advice: to push back or to make the opponent on the base line. Since the stats if they stay on the base line, they will likely to lose more. Hmm, I am a bit confused

This is called a reset not blocking.
