  • On returning to this location to check for any signs to support recent images, I decided to head straight for the area of recent interest and make my way up to the top of this bottleneck/ with the little air there was blowing towards me i made my way upwards . The slope is steep and hard going , i cannot hold the camera or my stick and so repeatably throw them ahead and use tree roots to pull myself up , Please excuse any strange noises i make but this not a gentle stroll along flat path ...See if you notice the movement above me at 10 seconds in, something goes across the sky line (top right, behind the scrub) ....just before panning left....At 26 seconds in we focus a short while where the cat checked out the camera, both the root stock and fern are visible,What do You think? At 35 seconds we pan round to look down towards where we claim it jumped against the tree?At 1.15 stood on the mammal trail that the Roe Deer use, Then at 1.20 i know i'm not alone something is moving through the trees , i don't think that i would hear anything on the ground so far ahead. 2.57 sorry had a funny five trying to spot a tree among a load of trees. By the 5 minute point i feel anxious but not sure why ( just a feeling ).After a short climb i found myself approaching a shallow ditch that when raining would be running with water but seemed to have at least two cross over points. Now i'm able to get back to trying to work out which tree the cat launched itself from whilst chasing pigeons this consumes my mind again , at one point i think i have worked it out, Pausing at 10.25 i noticed the big clump of cover to my left and just for a second felt vunerable from this point in i really felt like i was being watched constantly finally i cannot see the screen on the video to zoom so i took three photograph's and the third image seems to show a cat , size not worked out yet??? Still to come field signs from location and the continuing effort to capture images of it .Enjoy.

Cat isn't the only thing out of its tree. Plenty of similar company on this topic & similar ones though, Getting to know what is worth the first , mid & last 10 seconds wastes less of life..

Well i would imagine that all the huffing n puffing and twigs cracking would have warned any living creature for at least 3 miles away.

well i can only apologize for that ,it might have something to do with my false leg being so heavy and not bending at the ankle , so i unfortunately had to basically crawl up the entire bank . maybe i will mute future attempts so not to scare the animals, cheers for watching,

I take it that this is the uk . And if so . The climate isn't right for mountain loins . It gets too cold in the winter ..
Live stocks would be hit hard too .

Too cold?. Mountain Lions thrive in the British climate, just as they do in the Andes and Rocky mountains.

thankyou @edward absolutey with the rockies reaching minus 50 degrees the uk is possitively a summer camp for the mountain lion, @peterriordan2040 we have plenty of wild life in the uk to support many of the apex predators out there and our climate is temperate which couldn't be any better . we are not claiming however that this is a mountain lion ,,, we are asking could there be a cat in the tree at the top, several of the " blob " images people refer to on some of our other images are from this location . which is the same location as our vid. big cat caught on camera, field signs found , woodchester which all show a predominantly black animal . which would imply a melanistic leopard ,where 2012 DNA came back from swabs on a deer carcass as panthera pardus.
