He's not conventionally suicidal. But I do think he has what's called suicidal ideation. He would never actively make attempts on his own life but if something were to happen like he got super sick or He's already bleeding out he would make no attempt to save himself
Fun fact: giyu cannonly has passive suicidal ideation, where one will not do something to end their own life, but if put in a life or death situation, they most likely won't do something

Right? I don't think people understand the fact that Sabito and Tsutako sacrificed their lives for him! If he killed himself, he would be left with the regret of taking his life for granted, throwing the one chance he had to live away after Sabito and Tsutako's sacrifice. I'm pretty sure, he would feel guilty if he did do that..plus it's like disrespecting the both after what they did for him! He just WISHES he died. He would never harm himself...for the sake of honouring the both for their sacrifices. He was just left with survivor's guilt and that's why he wished he would die but he would NEVER kill himself. (This is why I ♡ U, Honestly I didn't really like Giyuu that much because of all the 'depressed fanon giyuu and bully shinobu' shit I see. But your content makes me really happy and gives me hope

Im a shinogiyuu fan, and its alright to make it an au where giyuu and shinobu fall in love, and you could also do it with whoever you ship giyuu with. But giyuu doesnt have a crush on anyone, and you cant say they would have gotten together if Douma hadnt killed Shinobu, because the demon dkayer creater actually wanted Rengoku and Shinobu to get together, but scraped thag idea. Giyuu is also not muichiros best friend, older brother, or dad, some people make Giyuu as Muichiros mom for some reason😅. So he is mischaracterized a lot, along with many other people.
