    Been using both sets of these for quite a while, and absolutely love them. The ergonomics/general feel of them is extremely comfortable, better than any other I've tried. I also use Wera's "chiseldriver" set for more heavy-duty applications, and they are simply amazing, from simple screwdriving tasks to beating them to death with a hammer and they stand up and do it again. Fantastic tools, worth every penny!

    Thank you for this.
    Have seen MANY reviews about these but moving your tool box sold me.
    I LOVE these screwdrivers and my knipex pliers
    I know that these are my tools and my co workers joke that they are “funny” looking if you know what I mean, but they always ask to use my drivers 😂

  • @OShackHennessy
    @OShackHennessy Před 4 lety +2

    The tips on these really are impressive. I was surprised when I first got mine , as I pulled away after screwing my fist Phillips the screwdriver stayed in the screw and came right out of my hand. Granted I was not gripping it tightly but I’ve never had that happen with any screwdriver. I have the insulated set and want to get the non-insulated now. And they are as comfortable as everyone says.

    Hey man can you PLEASEEEEEE do a comparison of Milwaukee Shockwave, Makita Gold, and Dewalt Impact bits vs the big boys like Felo impact bits, Wera Impaktor bits, Festool bits and Wiha Terminator bits? I think it would be a great video to show people that the cheap bits might actually cost more than the German ones because they need to be replaced more. Or it could go the other way! I really think it would be great. KCToolCo I'm sure would love to get in on this. Because you do real tests that are actually in depth and complete. Your reviews are the best and most comprehensive by far.

    I personally have wera screwdrivers and multi screwdriver set.
    The antislip laser etching tip faded with in a yr.
    However, well worth the price. If you only use number 2phillips and 2 slotted screwdriver as most Americans your talking 10$ year. That's not bad. But my screwdrivers still work and I magnetized the tips.

    I've got several different Wera screwdrivers. I love the laser tips. One thing though - I've also got a set of Vessel screwdrivers for when I work on electronics and/or Asian vehicles - they're full of "JIS" type screws...basically the Japanese version of Phillips screws. These Vessel screwdrivers will also pull my toolbox around like you did in this video. Any chance you could do a review on JIS-type screwdrivers?

    • @whatfreedom7
      @whatfreedom7 Před 6 lety +1

      AKJeeper are these those pain in the ass zinc colored Phillips on Honda’s and Toyota’s? I have a hard time getting those out. If I’m using the wrong tool I’d love to have the correct tool to not strip those damn things out.

    • @oklahomahank2378
      @oklahomahank2378 Před 5 lety

      Yes, Phillips is the wrong tool. There is nothing wrong with the screws. Vessel or gofast innovations make or sell JIS screwdrivers. They work fine on Phillips, just not the other way around. It is not a good idea to call them “Japanese phillips.” It is confusing. Just say JIS.

  • @AlexanderEddy
    @AlexanderEddy Před 7 lety

    Are the shafts on the insulated ones much thicker than the shafts of the non insulated?
    I'll be working on aircraft electrical systems, so part of me thinks I should get the insulated ones, but then if they're too thick to get in to tight places they may not always work for me. Pulling circuit breakers and disconnecting power is standard practice in aviation so I don't think the chances of being shocked are too high, but if the shafts are a similar thickness then maybe I should get the insulated just to be on the safe side.
    Thanks for the review!

    • @ristomladich246
      @ristomladich246 Před 7 lety +2

      the "insulated" screwdrivers are rated for "1000v" even tho most will far exceed that voltage range to around 22kv. as a electrician I do not use insulated screw drivers much. one is to never hold the shaft of a screwdriver, you can use electrical tape (old trick) or even plastidip to create a insulation mod. really the point of insulated screwdrivers is to prevent an electrical arc from occurring if you do happen to short circuit something such as if you drop a tool in a panel ect.

    The "non-insulated" screwdriver's handles are actually just as insulated as the insulated. Yeah, yeah blabla. No, seriously, take them.
      I'm German and if I've the choice between a new 2020 VW Golf and a ~'65 until ~'80 American Muscle Car, do you really think I would chose the German Car? Not over my dead body.
      But seriously, some Tools from Germany are simple, I wouldn't say "better" but simple smoother overall.
      Don't let guide you by only "Oh, USA! USA! USA!" because you will settle down for lower standards.
      For an example, try out Stahlwille or Hazet Ratchets. I'm pretty sure you will be amazed by them. Well, at least if you can life without fast lock on the Hazet but those a warranted up to 1000 Nm (over 700 Pound force per Foot) so ...

    These Weras are not "phillips" they are ISO 8764-1. ISO 8764-1 was designed to work with phillips, JIS and DIN 5260 and to supersede all three of those standards. Note that the reverse is not true, a true phillips driver will damage an ISO 8764-1 screw. However AFAIK only american companies are still making oldschool drivers. Japan has retired JIS in 2008 and Germany retired DIN 5260 in 2001 and both have switched to ISO 8764-1 so pretty much any cross head screw or driver you get from Asia or Europe now will be made for ISO 8764-1. Like with JIS screws the flatter and more vertical driving surfaces on ISO 8764-1 drivers greatly reduce the tendency to cam out.
