Came across your reviews by accident, probably cos I'm in SA. Saw the Ginster Steak slice vs Pukka . Was a good review. Have you done my favourite The Ginster Cornish pastie vs anyone .Would love to see that one. Well done, good work. I'm in UK August 2022 and will always smuggly back a couple of Ginsters
Absolutely great review as usual and honest gareth I have never had a pukka pepperd steak slice but have had many ginsters stake slices and you are quite correct that they don't have any pepper taste to them they just taste like their stake slices which I find amazing the best pepperd steak slice I have found is from the village bakery in north Wales Yum yum 👍👍🥩🥩🌶🌶🥧🥧🏴🏴
@@BaldFoodieGuy nice one mate I don't think the village bakery delivers as far as Cumbria but they do all of Wales and the Midlands and Cheshire and Lancashire so if you are ever on a foodie trip or voyage have a look 👍👍🏴🏴
@@BaldFoodieGuy I'm going to try the Aldi sausage rolls next time I go on your recommendation. I'm a seasoned Gregg's consumer so I can't wait to try them and see if they really are exactly the same!
Another Great stream Gareth I have had loads of Ginsters Steak slices over the years (Very nice and tasty) I did not know Pukka done Steak slices, It did look very nice, I will keep a look out for them. Best wishes Stay safe Regards Lee 👍🏻😁
Hi Gareth, I haven't tried either of these, however; if I was to go for one it would be the peppered one. Thank you for saving me the disappointment, another crackin' review. See you tomorrow night pal.
You know, these are brilliant reviews. Exactly what we like to see. No messing about here. Very accurate. I do find the Ginsters tend to be peppery, a bit too much at first bite but then you think, mmm, it's alright that is. This review surprised me when you said it wasn't peppery. Can you please do a review of the Aldi specialty range and the similar M&S products. I'd like to see your opinion on them?
I don't rate ginsters jinsters at all on anything it tastes rushed and no real seasoning. Asda substituted 2 ginsters cornish pasties instead of Asda 4 pack but oh well life's not that bad. I'd always opt for pukka
loving the channel mate, great stuff, why dont you compare items from marks and spencers just to see what qaulity there goods offer....happy days from Middlesbrough.
Hello Gareth, the Ginster's peppered steak slice from Morrison's is expensive, my local Iceland sells a pack of two Ginster's peppered steak slices for £1.00, the twin pack is also £1.00 at my local Poundland store, Heron Foods and Fulton's Foods.
Mate, your driving me crazy !! I'm a Brit Ex-Pat living in Germany and since Brexit it's become impossible to get hold of British pies, pasties, slices or sausage rolls here.I am getting withdrawal symptoms 😕 This review is making me homesick (I'm originally from West Wales) Guess I'll have to stick to making my own until I'm back in the UK next. All the best and keep the videos coming 👍👍
Great video as always mate. Would you say the Ginsters was worth its usual £1.70? Also just a heads up, Ginsters have a new Festive Chicken & Stuffing slice out.. keep em peeled 👀🤣
12k of Foodies.. Wow 😀 Who's da Man.. Congratulations. Another great review between the Ginsters and a Pukkas. Sounds like a rumble for a "Slice" of the action.. pun intended 😁. Ok mate it's good night from me. Cheers 😀👍🇦🇺
I wonder if supermarkets sell the same pies from the same source but with their own names on them. My son used to work for a food processing firm and he said that the same ready prepared meals were made for supermarkets and they put their own names on them. Perhaps you could test that? Would you still think that the Ginster was a good buy if it was £1.70 compared to the Pukka at £1?
The G in Ginster’s is a guh - not a juh! Two things that you might want to review - taste nice together - Iceland’s pigs in blankets and Iceland’s beer battered onion rings!
I noticed the Pukka pie was use by 19th October did you do the video a couple of days ago and only just uploaded it. and the Ginsters was the 17th October
Ginsters "Pepper" slice used to be a tasty alternative to the pasty! Tried one recently... Bland, Bland. Like you, I went back to the wrapper to check. It did say Pepper but hardly discernable. Disappointing.
Had one of these Ginsters Steak Slice this evening , all paste and gravy and no meat, not worth the money. I had a Pukka slice a few weeks ago and it was the same, mainly paste and gravy. Thanks for doing these reviews, Gareth, it gives you an idea what to avoid. Greggs are better than these two in my honest opinion.
