"She didn't know you have to pull the trigger."... Amazing. Simply amazing.
HAS to be an Extraterrestrial Alien......
My mind is completly blown away.
Sounds like my man Alec Baldwin
I’m actually more concerned that she “was” trying to pull the trigger. I can picture after the first no fire taking the revolver and looking down the barrel. I’m not joking. I really think she would have shot herself is she knew of the trigger. That’s god’s grace looking out for us when we need it most. Worst part is I’m sure this happens more often then we think to men or woman. Thank you Barry for helping her be safer.
@@nathanpierce2541 not true Alec is innocent it’s not his fault that he ignored Every! Rule of Gun Safety. Because when your an elite liberal rules and consequences are for everyone else like the grieving families. You carry a mag in cali with 11rds in self defense your a felon waiting for sentencing him he just kills one wounds another then blames everyone else then does interviews and party’s because he’s special. Notice we’ve never even heard from the DA.

"When you make something idiot proof, the world invents a better idiot."
I have no idea who said that.
actually impressed the guy was able to load the shells in backwards
HK had this big deal where their photographer loaded the magazines backwards and the picture was plastered all over the FRONT of their brochure for a gun show. lmao They pulled the magazine pretty damn fast.
in my experience i havent been able to
Dylan Watson thats what i mean, i aint even mad...im impressed.
Dylan Watson Didn't think it was possible, grabbed a .45 Glock mag and It's easy to do. Yet I've never done it before, I guess I'm officially not a moron. Yay for me.
Shaun _. yea my grandaddy got a 1911 r1 and he tried to load them backwards
I wish he HAD gone on for hours with examples
Me too!

The people who work with computer tech support feel your pain.
darkblood626 and the customers who have to wait in a phone queue for 15 mins and then press 1 for english followed by another 20 mins of buttons to end up at an inevitable screaming of "REPRESENTATIVE" on the phone only to be transferred to a foreign country don't.
+whatever
He probably means IT in the workplace or at a real computer store; not Pajeet on the other end of the phone who probably knows less about how the internet works than you do, but still insists that you cycle your wifi even though you're using a wired connection and your whole house is out.
+darkblood626 I mean guns aren't that complicated either. They are mostly "fool"proof. Computers can have millions of reasons to malfunction. And reading the full manual is almost impossible since there is none. Your job is harder :D
Emrah Ekinci You would be suprised how many calls end with 'Are you sure it's plugged in'?
Emrah Ekinci If guns are not complicated then why the need for gun smiths?
I keep coming back from time to time to these “Gun Gripes” episodes with Barry because of the information value and entertainment value.
They don’t get old and they hold up well over time.
Pull the trigger..... Wow. Scary beyond words.
Loading bullet backwards seems like a fantastically stupid thing to do as well XD
KurwaRomek, it is. But I've seen that. Even in the military (which kind of makes me wonder how Basic was for them).
Back Shooting Bastard x
Yeah, those are the sorts of people that should NOT be allowed to buy guns; there needs to be an IQ test or something :/
That one honestly blew my mind....ive heard some crazy shit beginners have done but that one takes the cake, it seems like people who have never touched a gun would know what the trigger does...
didn't know she had to pull the trigger? did she expect the gun to shoot when she said shoot?
She must have been a government employee :P
Just like the police she expects it to automatically protect her when she's in danger
When she pulled back the hammer she probably expected it to drop and fire the gun as soon as she released her thumb from it. That only works on a gun with a broken or missing sear and no form of trigger-activated firing pin block/safety.
@@MaximRecoil that's what I was thinking. Here's a horrifying thought, where was she when she was trying to fire it?
@@calebangell77 or maybe she cocked the hammer back with her thumb and thought she could push on the hammer to make it fore
With fire arms The only stupid question is the one that is not asked.
Im a HUGE fan of the gun gripes series Im learning a lot!!!! thanks for the effort put into the series and all the rest of the videos
"she didn't know you have to pull the trigger"
Even Hollywood teaches us that.
…. This comment, albeit 8 years old, is a premonition for Baldwin
I love this Gun Gripe, I've probably watched it 5-6 times. Miss you Barry. My time at the reloading bench will never be as enjoyable. RIP
Same thing in computers. It's called PEBKAC, and I've experienced it myself.
Problem
Exists
Between
Keyboard
And

Same on motorcycles. Loose nut between seat & handlebars.
another fun acronym that applies to almost everything in life, RTFM. Read The Fucking Manual.

Even a tech can experience a case of PEBKAC!
Another one is they're suffering from an I-D ten T problem.

Barry is hilarious in this one!
this is why i cant work in retail, i would get fired.
Man I love these old videos!!! Thank you for putting these out there when you did. Y’all are the reason I got into guns!
I gotta tell you. Those Federal plastic boxes are in fact a total pain. I typically just bang em sideways on something hard to break em open. Not even joking.
After 3:50, I face-palmed for 15 minutes straight...
the video is only 7 minutes
Steve Baker EXACTLY 😂
Me also. Had to pause the video.
Think of all the fumbling and body swipes that hot pistol did as she fuced with it.
Basic Training, Ft. Benning, GA, 1999.......fellow PVT jammed 5.56 in a mag backwards too. It's ok now, because in 2006, I ran dry and he threw me 2 jammed mags while on a rooftop in Iraq. I jokingly exaggerate checking the mags to make sure they're loaded correctly. He jokes back, "Smartass, you'll never let that one die, will ya!!!" Good man......RIP SSG Clark.
I'm a new shooter and this is by far the best channel I've found. Really usable info thank you for your expertise.
wtf do u think the trigger is for?!!!!!???!!!
Lol even someone remotely familiar with bloody video games knows that
God rest his soul, but I wish Barry had written a book about the shit he had seen and heard.
But I guess that's what "gun gripes" is for isn't it.
still, we need more cathartic humor. :(
I'm sorry but I'm new to this channel what happened to Barry
he passed away. I assume of old. please, if anyone knows better. tell me.

Jeremiah hall watch Gun Gripes episode 85 bro (a rather sad one, RIP Barry and thx for the knowledge)
"She didn't know you had to pull the trigger" AHAHAH That was hilarious, good stuff
it seriously hurts my brain to know there are people out there like this.
My favorite gun line is from futurama... “simple point and click interface.”
Now, the only thing I have fired is a BB gun. But my father would never have let me touch it without knowing how to respect the weapon and how to work it. First part you should always learn is the safety.
You guys are awesome, I'm new to the gun world, a complete amateur, but at least I ask questions before I screw up!
"Did you read the manual?"
"Nobody reads the manual." XD
3:52 "She didn't know you have to pull the trigger."
Literally had to watch that twice before I believed it. God, some people are so stupid.
not as stupid as alec baldwin atleast
Never watched these guys much, but RIP Barry
I had to watch the video twice to find the notice the "subscribe, or we will find you"
Pure gold, right there!
The absolute first thing I always do when getting a new gun is to read the manual. It's part of the fun!
I personally believe that gun ownership is a GOD Given Right, with that being said, some people can't even tie their own shoes! The level of ignorance of gun operation, (ignoring gun safety) in my mind's eye, to me says that some of these RIDICULOUS gun laws may be pertinent to our time. The gun is a simple machine meant to do one thing, and if people can't figure out how to operate it, then maybe most gun laws should be more stringent. Or, conversely, we need better education as far as gun operation.
People are stupid. Make gun classes MANDATORY in states that allow guns, and allow the people that are smart enough own and operate guns as freely as law enforcement.
What do you think about felons losing their rights to own a gun? If their time is served and they are no longer on parole do you think they should be allowed to have a gun? Would the crime committed matter?
I agree, the right to own a gun and the notion of a god should be equally prevalent. And since there is absolutely no proof of a god there should be absolutely no right to own a gun either.
Yes, that is bullshit. If you Served the time and were Released, then you are a Citizen again, are you not? If Not, INJUSTICE. I know some ex-convicts, and they are forced to commit a Felony just to have a home defense weapon. This is WRONG, even if the guy WAS a Murderer. If you're Afraid of him, you fucked up by Releasing him, or not Executing him. I bet Felons can legally STILL be DRAFTED, though. @@WorldwideDarts
Okay, I'LL Field THIS one. How's THIS? I CLAIM the Right to Own weapons by MY OWN AUTHORITY as a MAN, As a Citizen, and as a Father/Husband with Loved Ones to Protect. I TAKE this Right Regardless of LAWS For or Against, and I will KEEP IT by Force of Arms if necessary. I DEFY and DENY ANYONE to hinder my Self-Defense in ANY WAY, Lawful or Otherwise. Is THAT Plain and Clear Enough? Also, I will No Longer DISCUSS the Matter. No Compromise, No Negotiation. AT ALL. EVER. So Put Up or SHUT Up. Take It from me, or Die Trying. @@lennylele727
Like that one time I was detail stripping a 1911 and sent my plunger spring across 2 rooms....
i made the same mistake
mutiracialbeatdownPB I've done that with my ar15 pivot pin detent found it in my chair a week later when I ordered 2 more. I opened my package set the envelope on the floor an found the original in the crease of my lazy boy right between my knees. was looking everywhere for it for days.
i absolutely love these "gun gripes" series. Seriously, they're entertaining and funny as all hell, but they may actually educate some newbies who are too ashamed to ask for help.
i just watched all the gun gripes awesome series yall are doin keep it up
Oh my, this is one of my favorite gripes!!! Why wont people read the darned manuals??? And this doesn't just apply to weapons.......
Numerous people have an Operator Headspace problem.
Or a loose nut between the handlebars.
Or a problem between the keyboard and the chair.
Or an ID 10 T problem.
My teacher used to tell me "You can do anything in life if you RTFM" I asked what does that mean? he said "Read The Fucking Manual" :)
I work at a gunshop in Missouri, I see this ALL day long!!!!! This video is Awsome!
I love reading my new gun manuals. Its like I'm on a new adventure. Always learn something.
It is really frightening to know stupid people can buy guns. Please learn before you buy!
People lacking that kind of powers of deduction should not own firearms...
Right. If you sell someone a gun and they return later not knowing about pulling the trigger or some such issue, you need to take that gun away and not return it until they can prove they have the skill and knowledge to use it safely. One or more of your employees or customers could have been seriously injured
I agree 1000%. I've been working on my Mak-90, trying to get the pins removed I'm the FCG to replace a spring. Problem is, the pins were locked in place with a shepards hook. After watching IV8888 video regarding AK trigger disassembly, this obvious setup was explained. These videos are on here to clarify disassembly and assembly processes. Watch them and listen carefully. IV8888 does the most in depth disassembly videos available
Eric and Barry, you two guys are the absolute best, love your channel, and for all of the nonsense you two must see and hear in the course of a day, let alone the years you two have been at Moss Pawn, I'd love to come hang out with you guys and see and hear the silly shit that happens to you both.
I may get flak for this, but this is exactly the reason why there needs to be a licensing system for fire arms. People should go to a class, take a test, and PROVE that they understand and are capable of using a firearm. Like what we do with cars. Believe me I'm no firearm hating anti gunner, I love guns and I support the 2nd amendment (I'm Canadian btw) I just think that in some places its way too easy to get a gun, allowing uninformed and stupid people access to things that can end up causing trouble in the wrong hands.
does having a license, taking an exam, and being made aware of the risks with DUI's stop thousands of vehicle deaths per year? No, and there's your answer.
Well it'd sure as hell stop idiots like the ones mentioned in the video from making these kind of mistakes which can be extremely deadly.
It makes sense to not sell guns to people who don't know what they're dealing with so they don't shoot themselves or others. Accidents that arise from foolish, untrained, first time gun buyers in itself is very tragic, but then the anti gun types would use those instances to paint a picture of all firearms owners as irresponsible because of one idiot who was sold a gun who shouldn't have had it in the first place. Imagine if we just sold cars to people without licenses?
If you are stupid enough to not understand the trigger fired the weapon, I don't want you in a car or anywhere near my children at all. That's an extreme case of a dumbass on earth. No test will help that kind of stupidity.
As I said, your car analogy is bogus, for many reasons. We take exams and pass road test for our license. They still kill more people per capita than anything else. We learn about DUI laws, yet, people still die at an alarming rate anyway. I don't believe taking an exam to drive a car deters deaths on the road at all.
Also, in America, driving a car is a PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT. Owning Firearms is a RIGHT, and the government cannot impede on it. 95% of Legal gun owners know how to fire the weapon and operate it. We are not going to bend the constitution because there are a few idiots who can't pee standing up without hitting their feet. In Canada, you don't have God given rights. You don't have a constitution. You are properties of the state. We don't want that here, and we arent going to allow the government the right to chip away at us.
A test obviously wouldn't serve to teach anyone about firearms, it would only be used to certify or prove that a person is capable of owning/operating a firearm. A course is what would teach a person how to properly use them, and again, the test would be to prove that they are capable. As for Canada not having a constitution, that couldn't be further from the truth, but i won't argue with you about our government being because I would agree our politicians can't tell their asses from their elbows. I also have to give it to you; you are very right in that owning a firearm is a right and not a privilege so my idea wouldn't be appropriate in the US, but i would hope that more and more people continue to practice gun safety because no one wants the examples of the people in the videos to be owning firearms.
Gee, people can be really stupid sometimes xD
This may be my favorite gun gripe yet!
I love watchin y’all try and watch customers while you gripeing
I'm all for the right to bear arms, but there needs to be SOME level of competence required to own a gun. If you buy a revolver and don't know you have to PULL THE TRIGGER, you probably shouldn't own a gun until you take some classes.
The backwards loaded magazine still amazes me.
Bet it was a liberal.
That reverse loaded magazine on the glock. That just made me crack up so badly
Love these stories...they make me feel so smart!
This is why in Canada they make you take a safety course BEFORE you can buy firearms.
people take driver's education too but still drvie poorly and get into accidents. As Ron White says "you can't fix stupid." either way one shouldn't have to take a cource (i.e. asking the govt's permission) to exercise a god-given right. that is only a vehicle for disarmament, D.C. is the perfect example.
AirForceAce3571 That is a very flawed assumption. Training is not a bad thing and should not account to control. Maybe the gun shops down there can take it upon themselves to have a mandatory hour training course before they can walk out with the gun? This way no government control but they still get some sort of training? In Canada we have to pass the training course(s) which is not hard and undergo a criminal record check. Problem with our system is that its considered a privilege not a right to own a firearm and the RCMP take their sweet ass time issuing it. This is where its harder here. But training in of itself is not bad. Maybe like I said gun shops take more action on their own and no government regulations/restrictions will be needed? Just a thought.
Yes, Training is ALWAYS Good. But in America, EVERYTHING the Government has a Hand In becomes a Money Racket AND/OR Another Way to CONTROL People. Yes, your solution is a Workable one, have the Gunshops do it. I posted as much before seeing your post. As an American, I had NO IDEA that there even WERE People THAT Ignorant or Clueless. STILL In SHOCK.....@@newtoguns9178
Love you guys - keep up the good work
You know, I have never fired an actual gun in my entire life. I am thinking about getting my first sometime this year, something simple. That is one of the reasons I watch your videos because you are extremely helpful and educational for even the most basic gun knowledge. I have never heard of someone that does not know to pull a trigger on a gun to fire it, that blows my mind...
That's the right way to do it,educate your self and by the time you get to handle your first you will it safely and properly,I hate states that force training down our throats it's your responsibility to find out how to properly use a gun,you have to be an adult to purchase a gun so you should act like one
Miss you berry..nothing cocky or wise cracks.. just plain knowledge and wisdom
This is a great video! Keep up the good work.
i've seen the same thing with the reverse loaded 9mm rounds ^^ it was a friend who shot the first time a pistol. but because he was unexperienced one guy from the range staff members was next to him and immediatly explained his error to him. i could have done that too and of course we smiled a bit, but we did not think of him as an idiot because he was smart enough to not try to shoot a gun the first time alone and so there were people around who could instruct and help him.
These are the best gun videos! Informative and entertaining. I feel like driving from Illinois(s) to Georgia to meet you guys and buy some stuff. Please keep up the great videos.
Thank you. Now I know what it's called. Buti I did get the point of your rant as I have been a range master for the last 10 years and I have seen damn near everything you said and even more. By the way love the videos keep going
i love this channel, Glad i subscribed
Your story about the lady who didn't pull the trigger reminded me of a summer job I had in a Miami department store. A lady wants to buy a large floor fan. After looking at the different types, she decides to get a 20" box fan. Next day she comes in wanting to return it.
I asked, "What's the problem with the fan?
She replies, "It's defective."
I probe further. "What exactly is it doing or not doing?"
She yells back, "It's blowing hot air. Yesterday when I tried it out in the store, it blew cold air."
These stories are amazing, Mind blowing.
You know, one of the biggest, and probably most dangerous misconceptions that I've dealt with in regards to gun safety is that some people think that no magazine in gun = gun not loaded
I love this series.
Love the ending. You guys are hilarious. Great videos!!!
stupid is, stupid does. really enjoy your videos guys keep em coming.
Another great vid, thanks guys :o)
You guys are awesome. Subscribed.
in all fairness I've been into guns since 01 or so and the first time I had one of those boxes of federal's it took me like 10 minutes to figure out how to open it.
I work at a range as an RSO.
I can tell you right now that they don't pay me enough.
keep up the good work! I like the vids it has taught me a lot and have fun watching u guys have fun. I just recently bought a gun my self so the vids are very informative. I am currently working on a scope mount for my mosin with out any permanent mods to the gun. I have been a machinist for 10 years now and having fun making this mount.
2:40 real genius right there, even if you've never held a gun in your hand you should be able to grasp the concept that the bullets should be facing the right way.. holy hell
Maybe I am weird but I actually love reading gun manuals even if I don't have the gun u just learn so much
i have seen all these at the range I work at. good video!
I love this stuff!!!!! makes me want to open a gun shop just to see some of this stuff!!!!!!!
I'm in the Army National Guard in WA and one of the people in my old unit tried to alternat the bullets in her magazine, that was one of the funniest things I have ever seen.
I love these guys!
The sarcasm is always great
your version of "Read the manual" is like Bill Engavals "Here's your sign".
Absolutely hilarious trigger story, almost choked on my ravioli.
thanks for some more great stories, keep it up
Backward bullets...I'm baffled, but at the same time I totally see my mom doing something like that :p
This is why I like the idea of firearm licences, just taking a basic test so that anyone with the licence will know how to do the basics on most actions.
I just figure they didn't have a daddy. My dad bought me a .22 rifle when I was 13. By the time I was 14 I knew the difference between .22 short, .22 long, .22 long rifle, and how semi-automatic rifles worked, and that the ammo is dangerous out to maybe a mile, and that the bullets point toward the muzzle (and what a muzzle was), and that a dirty gun jams. I don't ever recall having to be told that I needed to pull back on the trigger though. That one's a classic.
I've been around firearms for 55+ years, I'm planning on purchasing a new gun soon and immediately after taking it out of the box my plan is to read the manual although I've read hundreds of others before. This was one of the scariest videos I've ever seen. I guess you just can't fix stupid, even with duct tape.
That goes with anything! I have operator manuals on the 3 units of the power plant I start up, run and shut down! And these are not small units! It takes at least 6 hours to start each one up on a fast day. Sometimes they are on for such a long time one has to go thru the written procedures just to know how to properly shut them down safely. There are amendments to these procedures along the way, but the instruction manuals are worth their weight in-- well you get it. Between the ears!
My favorite was a trip to the range where a gun-noob was trying to load his revolver front to back in the cylinder instead of from the back of the cylinder forward. Couldn't get the cylinder closed...obviously. Made him feel a little stupid, but showed him the right way, and gave him a little lesson in firearms safety as well as knowing your firearm before considering taking it to the range. Hopefully he will learn how to operate his next one BEFORE taking it to the range.
This is the funniest episode on all of CZcams.
this is great more of these please.
Thanks for your video. Here in western Washington state we have had THREE tragic accidental shootings of young children in the last 30 days. Two were fatal, and both resulted from adults leaving (legally carried) loaded handguns AND their young kids unattended in their cars. One of those two adults was a local LEO !
Remember when he said 85 would be the last one and now he has over 125.
I like gun gripes its a good series for people getting into or just plain learnung about fire arms.
I'm...I don't even know what to say. It was bad enough when you told us about the guy loading his magazine backwards, but that lady who DIDN'T KNOW TO PULL THE TRIGGER! That's just amazing. Has that happened more than once?
LOL, "Solved by rapid blows with a mallet." I almost pissed myself.
I miss seeing Ol' Barry on the videos... He was always trying to be 110% SERIOUS, but damn it, that man was FUNNY!.... Sometimes when he talked about the dumb stuff he'd say people did, you can tell it just would completely BLOW HIS MIND!... He seemed like he was very knowledgeable and a decent fella....
yay im doing it right! since i read every single page and paper that comes with my guns
this episode blew my mind
Good video series.
Thank you for you Moslin (sp) videos.
Even if you don't want to or cannot read the manual. Nothing is stopping you from logging onto CZcams. You can learn a lot from it.
I think this is still my favorite gun gripe.
