Great breakdown of the Sherpa rack. I'm sold on it and going to use your light bar install video once I get that added too. Subscribed!

Thanks, very helpful! I’m mostly sold. Just curious if there are any side mounts to easily load and haul a handful of long lumber from the top/side. Curious to know what others have done for this use case.

I just bought the crestone rack from you guys and after our first big rain there was a lot of water in the rear drivers side where the jack is, I only noticed because I had the jack door open and had a towel sitting right outside the the jack door and it was soaked and then I looked inside the door and saw the water, I didn't apply any sealant on or around the mounting block and or bolts, as the Sherpa install video I watched didn't. My only thought is that maybe I tighten the mounting bolts too much?

It's hard to say. Maybe you tightened them to much or not enough. If you want, take a bolts out and put silcone on them and re install it.

We don't have any on the shelf but if you place an order for one it will ship from Sherpa as soon as your roof rack is made. They are made to order and the lead time is about 1-3 weeks.

You should also make things for , 2nd 3rd gen tacomas as well as the 4runner. Not everyone can afford those newer trucks.

My personal vehicle is a 3rd gen 4Runner so I know what you mean but we as a company don't want to go back, we want to stay on top of the new models and thats enough by itself.

The sport is a good option for lighter use! Figure out how much weight you plan to mount up there and go off that!

I just purchased the sport because I do not plan to put a tent on top of my 4Runner
