- Large abandoned Pastors farmhouse with all kinds of items left behind. Explore #72
Ontario, Canada
This large abandoned house sits on a large property that will soon be demolished for new development. There is a lot of items left behind here. I have known about this place for a little while but really didn't feel the need to explore it at the time but I'm glad I did. What I could find on this house was the original house was built around 1888. Years later they added a very large addition. Looks like this house was used as a home business last. I noticed a lot a documents that the house belonged to the Church down the street. Items found in the house with dates on it I'm pretty sure it was abandoned around 2013.

About me:
I have been exploring abandoned places since I was a child and now I would like to film the explores and share the videos with you.
My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
If you have a location you would like to share with me or want me to explore for you please send me an email at abandonedurbexcanada@hotmail.com and I will give you full credit for the share in the description and during the video if you choose.

So sad when they demolish old houses instead of giving them new life like they deserve! Thanks Brent for sharing it with us!
That house is beautiful ..such a shame to demologish it !!!
It is such a shame. It wouldn't take too much to make that place liveable even.
Such a beautiful house.
It should be a crime to demolish these old places like this.
It has so much Class & Style!
☹😞😥😡
It's a gorgeous house, it only needs cleaning, some repairs and a family to warm it, it is a pity that it is going to be demolished, i'd like to live there... greetings from Colombia 🇨🇴
Maybe its haunted?
With all the recent upgrades to the wiring, it wouldn't be difficult to renovate the structure and sell it
People abandon nicer homes then I'll ever live in
Homes are so expensive these days. It's a real shame that anyone would give up on such a blessing
Haha same
Right! A shame.
It’s probably twice the size of the house we built lol
and all i have is a 1000 sf house. i could use a extra 500 more feet, to poor to build on.
My Grammy had that same exact painting and as a child I would lay for hours and stare at it ... I believe we still have it in the family!
Crazy!
As a mother I would love to have a home such as this. I couldn't Imagine walking away. The lighting from the windows was nice, was probably a lovely home once upon a time. Thank you for sharing.
What a beautiful, beautiful house! Someone spent some money on the addition and remodeling! What a waste to leave it abandoned. Great explore. Thanks for sharing! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That house is incredible. Sad that it has been so vandalized and will be torn down.
I feel an overwhelming sadness when I see houses trashed like this.
The natural light through that place is amazing.
What a beautiful house! I wish someone could go in and reclaim some of it for use elsewhere... like the wood floors, wood doors, stainless appliances in the kitchen... that bathtub! Thanks for another cool explore!
What a shame it’s going to be demolished!! I hope they at least recycle what they can! Thanks Brent!
Not likely, I had a buddy who's family business was demolition. They are usually on a schedule from the developer to finish the job as quickly as possible so everything gets dumped in bins and thrown out, they don't have time to sort it out.
That master bedroom with its own bathroom and huge walk-in 🚿 is very nice
loved that bathtub!
Thats so sad how miss treated that house was and now its getting destroyed. So sad.
That place is gorgeous, I can't believe that place was abandoned. I love the layout of this house. Would 💯 live there
This was a beautiful home. I just can’t believe it’s trashed like that. It hurts my heart to see that people have no respect for others things. I’d love to have the flooring, doors and windows from this place.♥️♥️
Great find loved they tied that addition in perfectly and left the old bricks exposed beautiful house such a waste they’re going to tear it down 😢
What a gorgeous home, I’d live there in a heartbeat so sad to see it destroyed, at least it got one last day of respect by your explore. Thanks for sharing!
Definitely look forward to your videos and really enjoy your witty banter and attention to detail. Your explores are always very interesting and I admire the respect you show to everything you find along the way. Can’t wait for the next one!
Thanks Sean I really appreciate you saying this it means a lot
National archives need to be notified!!
Beautiful doors and the kitchen looked like it was pretty nice too.
Just look at all that brick that is going to lost on that beautiful home at one time but the outside looks great at this time. Another nice one Brent and thank you for sharing that with us.
Love those original floors in the old part. Beautiful old wood. That master bathroom was very expensive when it was built, all that marble on the walls and that huge shower! What a shame it all be demo’d.
A lot of Money in Woodwork still sitting there. 'm sure they would strip the best before they tore it down. Nice House! Thanks for the look.
Have you ever thought of doing a book on all these abandoned homes and places in Canada? I had a book that was full of pencil drawings of old homes and barnes that were of actual places that I really enjoyed. I love the old architecture and I love books. Your videos are great!
That’s a great idea!
Nice one! I’m glad that blanket didn’t kick back 😂
Me too 😂
Just Amazing drone work! Very well built home, old and new addition brick matched so well. Lots of color in the rooms. Private Poopie place LoL!! 🚽 So much paper/info left behind, so glad you keep all of it private VERY respectful! Thanks for weathering the crunchie freezing cold and going out to film these GREAT finds to share with your viewers/followers. Your work is top notch for sure!! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks so much bsage 😁
Beautiful home very saveable
I think somebody ransacked this house!!! If you get rid of all the trash this would be a nice place.I really like this house! Thanks.🌟😊
That would be quite terrifying to be trapped in the basement. Good tour thank you for showing us this one before it is gone. The master was huge and bright and master bath tub still looked good. Hopefully useable cupboards, appliances, plumbing and fixtures can be recycled.
Thank you very much 🐾🐺👍
Mmmm That bathtub looked so relaxing 😌
Liked the little window by the tub so you could look out still while in it and the glass block wall devider between the tub area and big shower lets more light in very good design.
This was a beautiful house. The bathroom was amazing. I also loved that painting on the wall. I wonder why so many documents would be left and strewn all over without at least getting rid of them. I just don't understand the abandoning, but I do love to see these old, old houses!
The vandals probably dumped all the boxes of paper out while looking for money for drugs.
Beautiful house!! The great light in the rooms made it seem like it was a warm day 😆. Hope they save the bathtub, and appliances. And that painting looked like Disney princesses dancing
I was thinking debutante ball
LOVE THOSE FLOORS WHEN YOU WALKED IN.
Thanks for sharing sir!
It's a beautiful place that could easily be fixed and lived in again. So sad to hear,it's being demolished.
I enjoy your videos. This house is very nice. So many beautiful house with so much character just getting demolished, makes me sad. Canada is so beautiful! Wish I lived there!
What a beautiful home but sad when they demolish the older ones thank you for sharing
Your welcome! 😁
"Hello!" Brent slays me with that....LOL!!
What a gorgeous house. Such a shame that it is going to be demolished. Thanks for sharing this video
That's a really nice house. I love the master bedroom and bathroom.
I would love to buy this house and move it to the states a little at a time .it makes me want to cry to see it torn down. thanks for sharing. you have some of the best vid's on youtube.
Loved this tour! Thank you for all that you do!!!
Before we go inside I just gotta say....love that snow....so beautiful. Being in Georgia we don't get much 😓. And it's kinda nostalgic seeing that antenna on the roof instead of a satellite dish 😁
Do you have snow now?
Gotta LOVE it!
@@beckybates-henricks3915 sadly no 😓. Occasionally in winter we may get lite snow in Jan-Feb but not this year. Most we may get is just some flurries that don't really last.
Another great find, Brent. A lot of work and expense went into that house only to be destroyed. Sad!! When I saw those boots and clothing and that mattress with the bedding, I was tense whenever you opened a closed door. Be careful! Stay warm!
Beautiful home! What a shame to tear it down. Thank you for sharing!
That marble fire place😍😍😍. Absolutely gorgeous. Such ashame
What a beautiful home. So sad. Thank you for another awesome adventure 👍 You are right, the stairs are fantastic!
My favorite intro and Explorer on you tube. Thanks for sharing Brent. I always wonder if people that leave this much stuff behind end up receiving a large buyout for their property and they don't bother taking most of their stuff since they are probably starting somewhere new. Anyway, another great explore as always my friend.!
Thanks so much! Means a lot
Glad you got pictures before they razed it. Perfectly salvageable home.
What a beautiful house love all the wood.
Hello Brent! this house was loved at one point. I hope to see another one soon!
Hello Terri
Oh my! That is a beautiful! Save that railing and the flooring!! Thank you for straightening the painting. That was respectful.
Why demolish it for growth? So sad. Divert the damn road!
I enjoyed watching your video and going along with the tour.
Thank Robin 😁
So sad to see this house abandoned. It is really nice. Those floors are very nice.
Glad you didn't go down to the basement. Nice house.Ashame it will be demolished. BE safe.
HAPPY VALENTINE BRENT!😃
Happy Valentine’s Day 😁
Dude, this house is wonderful! It's so sad that it was demolished. It was so beautiful and huge. edit: and it wasn't even badly damaged! it needed a few things touched up or finished but was in great shape!
The light in that house is amazing. Must have been nice to live in...spacious!
As I was thinking there would be a trap door you turned around and walked over to it. Loved the light in the master. That shower could hold ten or good place to bathe the dog. You have the best music.
The amount of nice abandoned homes there that you keep finding is crazy. Pretty sad actually since a lot of them are not that bad condition. Great video as always buddy. Take care! 👍😀
Thanks buddy! Ya I’m surprised it wasn’t in worse condition
No matter how much stuff you get in life somebody in the future will own it!!
Before it got ransacked, this must have been a very nice house. The addition was really nicely done. Too bad it's going to be demolished. Thanks for the tour.
I love the brick wall with the sun hitting it...
What a beautiful house. what struck me were the gorgeous rustic-looking doors on each of the bedrooms and that beautiful master bath with the huge shower enclosure with a SKY LIGHT! how cool is that?? Greetings from the U.P. of Michigan! Deep freeze country right now. lol
It’s ashame that people destroy stuff that’s not theirs, keep up the good work , had total of 30 inches in NJ this week !
Thank you, Brent. This is a lovely home when you look past the clutter. I am saddened that it will be torn down. I am so glad you didn't go down into the second basement. I knew if you had gone down and gotten trapped we wouldn't have been watching your video; however, it still startled me! Stay safe and keep the exploration coming!
Thanks Deborah!
I'm not one to like big houses, but this is a really nice house. It's really sad it will be tore down! Thanks for another great find. As always, your drone footage is spectacular!! You're comments on this was funny! So glad you're careful!!❤️
Think your explore channel is very nice! Been watching all your videos and decided to watch what your explore next. Keep exploring!
Thank you! 😁
The room you almost missed...orange you glad you didn't? Sorry couldn't resist. Thank you for sharing.
What a lovely house. I’ll bet whatever a developer builds won’t be nearly as nice.
Thanks for sharing. Safe travels,
Deb in Virginia
wow that house must of been so so nice when it was taken care of. i fell in love with that house its beautiful .specially the upsatirs bathroom.
Wow...that is a nice house. Loved that brick wall inside and that master bathroom was awesome. Yea...i could live there.😁
Wow, that was so pretty, but all that paperwork!!
Love all the wood and brick!!
It didn’t look too bad, looks like it could be fixed up!
Thank you Brent for taking us along!
It’s so nice to see your smiling face!
Take care and be safe!!
Thanks nice at one 👍 time keep up great video
Nice brick house before it was abandoned. Just making a guess here, as not familiar with that painting at 3:28, but it could be a copy of a work by American artist Margaret Hawley (born in Connecticut 1880 -died in NY City 1963) She had an art studio in Boston, and another in NYC. Mostly famous for portrait minatures but also did large paintings. Her work is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Smithsonian. The Cemetery documents need to be saved before that house is wrecked. If the Church is still functioning someone should just take the cemetery records and leave the rest of the rubbish. If it is no longer a viable church, Maybe someone from the local library or the Council could recover the records. It would only take an hour or two to grab the records and leave the rest. As a family genealogist seeing those records scattered makes me feel bad for the families connected to the cemetery. Thanks for the explore Brent! Great work as always. =)
maybe you can contact the museums about a link to the video, would be interesting to know if they wanted the painting
@@shaunnesbit1734 I think it's just a copy.
@@Elfkrystal i looked again i am no expert but it looks to smooth to be a painting
@@shaunnesbit1734 Yes I agree, it's some kind of framed reprint. Cheers.
That was a beautiful home; I loved all of upstairs, especially the bathroom that tub is amazing. I find it very sad that they feel the need to demolish homes such as these. So much wasted. Newer homes are not made like this one. 🥲
Thanks for the tour Brent! Don’t bother picking those cellar doors up when they’re on the floor like that. You’ll get a hernia doing that or maybe fall down the hole. I know you’re careful in those places though. This was a nice place. That was a fancy bathtub in the master bath. Looks like the kind that has bubbles and circulating water. Once again it’s such a waste! It did look like people had been sleeping there when it was warmer! Thanks again!
The architectural style of this home seems modern. The contractor did an excellent job during construction. Good bones as they say. I don't see what individuals get out of trashing and destroying property.
Well Bret, I can see you are a man of high ideals so I 'd better go while you still have them. No telling what I might say.
Cheers (That was a nice comment if I say so myself and I'm probably the only one that will.)
Thanks Michael 😁👍
Very nice and bright, i love the doors
Hopefully all of the cemetary records are online. If not that would be a travesty.
I agree with you, I wanted to cry, thinking all of the records are going to be destroyed with all the history. Even though it would be wrong, I would find a way to take all the boxes and paper home and sort it out. It might take lots of new boxes and the rest of my life.
Thanks for sharing this with us
That RX was a antipsychotic used for bipolar disorder and depression. Was a really nice house, such a shame.
Schizophrenia is where it shines. Although many doctors are overprescribing it for sleep. The drug is not intended for that though.
Great video
So many documents. It’s looked like it was a nice place.
The eerie part was the boots at the front door..like someone was at home!
Take care 🇨🇦 ❤️
Hey Brent! Great find and explore! Thanks for not going into the basement of the original part of the building! The contractor did an amazing job matching the brickwork of the addition to the original part of the house. It really makes me wonder how people can leave all that paper behind...banking documents, perhaps cemetery records - who knows. It seems pretty irresponsible if it had been a pastor and family who just up and left all that paperwork behind...unless of course something happened that caused a hasty departure. Thanks for taking us along my friend! Stay safe!
Thank Nick 😁
Very nice 👌 house 🏠. So sad 😞 😥 that it will be demolished.
What a nice little home, I love the wood and the light. Oh well. Hopefully someone will salvage some of the nicer furnishings (that master bath tub WAS cool).
Good morning Brent excellent video.
Thanks Jay!
Hi Brent. Amazing find as usual. Thanks for being so kind and respectful. That's a mark of a great man. Can't wait to see your next upload. Respect 👍🇨🇦
Thanks Brian!
Another amazing video Brent! Thank you and hello from Wales!
Thank you😁
Would love to have that house thanks beautiful place great videos happy valentines day and god bless you and your family
Beautiful woodwork and cabinetry. Hopefully they salvage the doors before they tear the house down.
Cool house. Great woodwork shame its being torn down. You my favorite explorer. You dont pilfer through people's personal stuff like others. Shows a lot of class.
What a nice home this was.
So glad u didn't go down the trapdoor to the basement - we'd miss you!! Great house, what a shame to knock it down when it's perfectly salvageable. Thank you Brent from across the pond. Gill 🇬🇧
The house is gorgeous 😍 I do not see why it should be torn down. It would make a great home for a family. I loved the painting of the dancers. Hopefully someone will rescue it. Thanks for a great explore!!!
What an absolute shame. It always astounds me how people will just leave homes to rot and fall into decay. The vandalism that happens it’s quite upsetting it’s like adding insult to injury.
Such a beauty ! Loved the natural light all around the house. Hopefully all the records are kept digital. What a mess ! Looks like they threw the boxes from the upstairs hallway down 😂
Thanks for one more great explore Brent ! Can't wait for the next one 👍
Stay safe and warm !
I like the wood floors and the fact they left the exposed bricks on the new addition ❤️
Hey friend, another great explore. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Friend !
Such a beautiful home. Sad that it will be demolished.
What a shame and disgrace that vandals did so much damage to such a beautiful place.love all the woodwork.love the arch windows.👍❤️🇺🇸
