One of the most important issues on the 402A is being able to turn on the shadowing of the adaptive headlights. Such an important feature that will be in every vehicle someday and when NTSA pulls their head out to allow those feature to be turned on in software of those with this feature.
My understanding is that it's now legal according to my police buddy. I honestly haven't look it up though.

Canadian deliveries were supposed to have it enabled by default, but only my 2021 Lariat 502A had it, my Tremor did not (since modded). I experienced them in 2021 on the Coquihalla highway in the Canadian Rockies, and the performance is spectacular, with gradual dipping/lowering of high beam, as another vehicle approaches from a distance. Best lights I've ever had for sure! See my mod experience above ^
You can roll down you front windows with key fob combo through Forescan. Haven’t figured out how to roll them up remotely, which is what i was actually trying to do 😮.

I think it's called 'global' windows or something like that. I think it's holding lock or unlock button down on remote key fob after 2 taps to activate it(so unlock, unlock+hold should toll down. lock, lock+hold should roll up iirc). It'll do a sunroof open half way to...after the windows go all the way down, sunroof will open 1/2 way too(keep holding button after windows go down). There's tons of info out there, if not here on YTube then check a forum related to your vehicle. 👍🏻👌🏻🛠️🔧🔌🔋⚡⚠️
A quick question, with the forscan tool/software can you have the side mirrors tilt down for a duration of time when putting the truck in reverse?
So forscan only locks and unlocks things the Ford Programmers did in the original module. If this is a feature then yes you could unlock it. But if it was never programmed then no. My old Platinum used to do it so its possible. I can ask around and see if I can get an answer. I know you can do the Lincoln hack where the mirrors always retract when the ignition is off. I'll look around in that module and see if there's anything.
Can you update your tire size with forscan? I would be very interested in a video on that. I have a 22 f350 tremor that I just put 38s on. Thx!
You can but what I've learned is the speedometer is only off by .5 so it was more hassle then what's it worth. I went from 33 to 35 so I would assume 35 to 37 would be the same.
Hey just wondering if there's a way to set the startup chime in the software. My 23 tremor has the default old ford chime instead of the new one. Wondering if you had that issue at all.

Yes most of the mods are based more around electronic bells and whistles.
Can you change the pattern of the DRL around the headlights upon start up, through Forscan?

Not that I'm aware of. But on some forums, there are rumors some guys have figured it out.
Can you stop cylinder deactivation on the 5.0L V8?
I don't believe so. But they're always tweaking the program. Might be an option down the road but honestly no clue.
I’m confused, do you just plug it in the computer and an icon comes up or do I need to download a ford program to get started?
You download Forscan to a computer and then buy the dongle. Put dongle into truck open program. Hope this helps!

Hey brother, can you use the Forscan with an iPad or do you have to have a regular laptop pc?
So they say on the website they have ios now. But I don't have any experience with it. So maybe? Sorry I'm not more help!

Your iPad runs iOS, so it should work with WiFi or Bluetooth dongles. I think all iPhone apps works on iPad. It might be very small on the screen though if it was made for iPhone.
Does it allow the power deploying running boards? I swear I hear the deploying sound when I open my door like when I had a Platinum 4x4
Nope, no power running boards on the Tremor. I feel ya though. The motor definitely makes a few different sounds when I start and stop it.
@Tremor Trails I have the 402a and know they don't have a power running option. When I open the door with engine off I definitely hear the sound that occurred when I had them on my Platinum. I have heard you can update software to access the part of the menu on the truck that disables or enables deployment like on Lariat and Platinum. Guys are doing it with Raptors and Tremors and I guess my question was about finding the on/off feature once the running boards are installed. I will dig into the forums and thanks for the response..going to try a few of the Lake Havasu trails you posted with my overly cautious wife next weekend. Keep up the great content!
@@alextasch8114 oh gotcha! Seeing how all the computers are all the same, I would assume there's an option seeing how the F250 had the option for power. Lake Havasu was a blast! Hello. Does FORScan work on 2023 f150s I’m trying to make it so the lights don’t go on while the truck is off and I open the doors . Kinda of annoying while camping. Thanks if anyone had a simple solution 2023 f150 Platinum.
From what I've learned. They are usually 1 year behind. But I would assume not many things change year to year. Easiest way to find out is download Forscan then look to see if that's an option. Hope this helps!

@@TremorTrails hey figured it out it’s under Bcm silent (dark) mode. I did notice that it does take away the beep when you double tap lock mode fyi

No, not unless you mess up something with one of the modules. Best practice is to only change things known to safe. The old way or (setting values) was more intimidating and had a greater chance of messing something up. The new click way is pretty easy and less chance of screwing something up.

It normally takes a year to get codes. I haven't looked in a while, so I'm not sure how much they have on the 23. That being said, from my understanding, you don't have to use codes anymore. They figured out a way to just check the boxes of the mods available.
@@TremorTrails Well on 23 they have both options. Codes and also enable/disable. On 23 it seems like all hexadecimal values have changed. Thanks.
