Great topic as usual Cosgrove...I never knew about the Pistons getting screwed like that, they probably would've still lost but I guess we'll never know
Something else that got away: the Amir Johnson travel. As a blazers fan, you should know this as it happened during a January 2013 game in Toronto. I remember that moment well and it was on Shaqtin a fool
if the nba gave a shit about playing the game proper we would be seeing a non stop revolving door of refs. instead they keep around the blatantly bad ones, the mediocre ones. very few refs that are actually consistent and good at their job. they have 1 simple job and its to enforce the rules and consistently enforce those rules. but all we see are calls that dont go both ways, we see particular players and names getting insane bias calls. if that wasnt kevin durant stepping out of bounds, there is a great chance that gets called. just think about who is on the court and who is involved in any given play where the refs insert themselves. its been this way forever and people are ignorant if they think refs havent rigged games in the past and dont rig games now. i know its widely seen as an "excuse" for why your team or my team lost but the facts are they are a huge part of the game. all it takes is a biased ref crew to give a team all they need to pull out wins. all it takes is 1 bad call and suddenly everything's changed. takes 2 or 3 quick fouls in a row and boom that team is down a player in fear of that guy fouling out so they bench him. all these subtle things add up and matter. the fact its known and a thing that refs automatically treat rookies terribly in terms of calls is enough proof that they are not serious about officiating a basketball game. you should ref off the actual game of basketball, dont ref for the status and names bro. shit is disgusting and always has been.
Interesting video, I can think of another example, in the 2009 NBA playoffs in round 2 the Dallas Mavericks going against the Denver Nuggets, Denver got away with a win with Carmelo Anthony hitting a game-winner even after Mavs forward Brandan Wright intentionally fouled him before the shot. After an NBA review it was confirmed, but by then the game had already been decided.
It's crazy how both Jxmy and Cosgrove are blazers fans and put out the best NBA content on all of CZcams. I guess being a fan of a trash team has it's perks 😭
Bro wat do you think about dame leaving Portland lmao like how come you never mention anything about current nba😅love the old videos tho I’m old enough to understand most
The hate injustices so glad you calling people out. The only one I begrudgingly kinda don't mind is Jason Kidd's one at the end which I think is sorta funny. Only because, damn coach, get your punk pudgy motorhome you call an ass (he ain't even fat) off the court, b****. If you put yourself in a spot you don't belong for an opposing playa, and I do mean playa cause your ass got play'd, to then do this to you, well, that'll learn you, lunchbox (I don't know why I'm doin' this, he ain't even fat). That's on you, Big-Fun, that on you. Huge love shout-out to Thick Crust, y'all
The KD thing was just wrong, but you know what was wrong and also had an impact on the history of the game just like the 1988 Finals Game 7 last 2 secs? The 2007 Western Conference Finals between the Suns and the Spurs. For those who were old enough knows Spurs went on to sweep a young Lebron Cavs team but most wouldn't remember it should've been Nash's cementing his legacy. Nash broke his nose in Game 1 and continued to guide his team until Game 4 happened. With seconds remaining on the game clock, up 3 points 100-97, Suns naturally gives the ball to Nash (2xMVP and one of the greatest free throws shooter ever) and he dribbles up the court to avoid the 8 seconds violation. With a target all over his back, Nash gets pushed to the ground into the side boards of the announcers by Horry. Horry gets a flagrant foul, Suns end up winning the battle that night but lost the war. Because of the newly implemented rule that if players leave the bench because a few years ago of Malace in Palace, you are suspended for the next game. So one of the best player clearly in that series was Amare Stoudamire left the bench to check on his captain and Boris Diaw the backup center for the Suns both was suspended 1 game and Spurs end up winning both Game 5 and Game 6. Sure, Horry was suspended for 2 games but lets be real, Horry knew exactly what he was doing. Even after the series, Stoudamire said he didn't know about the rule. Lastly, the series was tied at 2-2 either way, if Suns wins Game 5, and Spurs win Game 6, it still would've been home court for the Suns in Game 7. And on top of all that, Dallas Mavericks, the best team in the East was already eliminated in the first Round which means the race to the finish was wide open.
@@RandomShapeless I know what you're saying, but it still doesn't change the fact Horry also admitted he wanted to get a charge but got there late so he bodychecked him. I don't see why Nash wouldn't put more emphasis on it because getting to the line in a late game scenario is the priority. I ain't saying Spurs planned this out, but you have to admit that Stoudemire and Boris Diaw both got suspended which led to them losing.
No one likes the 76ers. Sorry for the truth. And the fact that the coaches can even go on the court should be a technical unless it’s during a timeout or free throw. Even then a free throw is iffy
I see cosgrove I click
I see these types of comments I laugh
Always
It's that simple😂
Ehhh... Cosgrove is aight. He ain't no arnett tho.

Look up the "phantom foul" in game 6, '88 Finals. It helped Lakers force game 7. NBA was punishing Bad Boy Pistons.
@@RandomShapelessbig facts
How they get screwed when Magic just stood there and Isiah just ran into him, that's not a foul on Magic if anything that's a charge on Isiah Thomas
@@RandomShapelessThen when crowd ran on court, that should been technical
When Cosgrove speaks I listen 💯

Isiah getting fouled would have meant 2 foul shots.
Lakers were up by 3 so wouldn't have mattered.
But yes the crowd came onto the court illegally.
And bench on the floor should been Tech
