Hi, I'm Marco Meatball, a former pro opera singer, turned voice actor, turned CZcamsr. I grew up loving video games and video game music after first discovering them when I was 7 years old. As you caught on with the music, the boss is a lighthearted one. You're not facing down some sort of villain but a mischievous spirit.
All he wanted to do is Lava surfing
The boss just wanted Eyja to enjoy the life she has left and asked her to be truly happy. Probably the most wholesome bossfight I've ever fought.
Also the epilogue with two sheeps in the end that alludes that they were Eyja's parents, broke my heart.
@@valmariel Remember, Dolly says that he can't capture people's spirits. They are not her parents, they are sheep that Dolly made based on her parents, t's sweet as a sign of how much he cared

Not even mischievous, he's a friendly Sovereign and he actively solved so many problems, while enjoying himself, and making sure everyone is as well.
You can see at the end of the event, everybody is now better off - Ceylon is now making up with her father, her father's problem was solved by her, and she is now achieving her dreams. Eyja finally got over her suffering and is now able to finally move forward. The city is now healing. Dolly truly was wise.
"That's really effervescent"
FUNNILY ENOUGH, "Effervescent" is the name of another one of the battle tracks for this event.
This event is such a rollercoaster of emotions. On one side, it’s such a vibe, the enemies and music are chef kiss. On the other, it destroyed me right in the feels, specially the ending. Eyja deserves all the headpats.
I mean that what AK have been thru all this time. Especially event stories. Like the event in underground, where you thought it will be just fun water park, or the event where Ceobe got high on shrooms, or the first Siesta event.
Should we tell Marco this events menu theme has a day and night ver might be a interesting video idea 😏

This boss this plays for is literally a giant fluffy pink sheep that can talk and can only be seen by Eyjafjalla. He’s like her imaginary friend.
Kids also saw sheeps, and few other people. But yes this was one of most annoying bosses to beat :D
Extremely sad fact:
Eyjafjalla much like many Rhodes Island operators has Oripathy. An incurable and fatal degenerative disease that crystallizes part of the body. Unfortunately, Eyjafjalla’s case is extremely severe and advanced since the crystallization has happened near the back portion of her brain. As a result of this, she is legally blind and deaf and can only see very poorly with glasses and needs a hearing aid. In fact, she is one of the operators we have definitive confirmation of how much time she has left to live. And while the exact number is not known, it is generally accepted that she has under 10 years left to live due to the progression of her disease.

You should definitely listen to the menu music in the event. One of the best ones they've done so far.
Yea this event like most summer beach events are our yearly anni and since we are behind cn by 6 months we get it during winter, they are wholesome for the most part and the boss is a mischievous sheep.

I've been waiting for this event on global ever since it dropped on CN. Everything about it is just so GOOD.
A little bit of lore and story for my friend Marco here:
The boss of this event is a Beast Lord named Dolly, the Sovereign of Sheep (he/him) Beast Lords are essentially spirits of nature. If they're killed, they respawn; so they're ancient.
There were some Beast Lords presented already, notoriously the Duck Lord (a businessman), Emperor from Penguin Logistics and Zarro from Il Siracusano event.
Being ancient spirits they tend to have a sense of obliviousness when it comes to human affairs. The Wolf Lords do a battle royale with humans they use as proxy.
Dolly, although mostly uninterested in human affairs, tends to make friendships with those he finds interesting. Adele (aka Eyjafjalla) is the daughter of two famous researchers he'd met in the past. Adele is a very young and accomplished volcanologist, dedicated from a very early age to follow the footsteps of her parents. Dolly's message to her is that she should relax and have fun sometimes.
He makes clones that resemble people he befriended through his lifetime and he only lets some people actually see him; even Adele thought she was hallucinating for a while. He algo enjoys lavasurfing, such a chad!
Would be really nice to have another livestream like last year to celebrate the anniversary, that one was very good and this year I saw more banger songs dropping too. Well it does not hurt to ask, either way wish you the best! Thanks for the video!
Very fun event currently in the game. a lot of goofy fun and good vibes mixed with some more serious tpoics now and then. Gameplay and presentation are on point!
Should definitely check out a bit of gameplay footage of this event, feel like you'd enjoy seeing what all this great music goes to. The enemies for it are such a great design and they're so funny and cute looking. The whole event has an overall great Summer Jam feel to it for the most part.

Every soundtrack in this even is so good, and they mix and switch each other in way that not gets you bored.
Even the lobby theme with background changes depending on the time of the day, so when you think you already used to it, it still ends up catching your attention.
And the New Song "Unbreakable" is so cute and beatiful

I haven't played Arknights in a hot minute and joined back right around this event, with the theme and tone of the trailer I was here thinking it was lighthearted and silly event only to be sucker punched in the face with "the feels."
This event has a very melancholic tone despite being "silly" and lighthearted at times, especially with the event's lobby music (Misty Memory) which has suddenly become my most listened to song in the past week.
The line of "Should've taken home more than those bittersweet memories" is just.. _wow_
I don't care much for all the discourse about "alters" this event, as far as I'm concerned it's a genuinely beautiful event that I'm glad I didn't miss.
(That said I still have yet to clear SL 8 though, my operator's are very weak against Dolly at the moment lol)

Marco, you should really really react to the new cinematic, Still Here, from league of legends season 2024. The music is amazing but looking back at how you reacted to Kindred's theme it might be more interesting for you to actually see a cinematic where they are in. I'm sure you'll love it.

Granblue Fantasy is another great one for music. Highly recommend it, also because the game itself is very Free to Play friendly, though not necessarily very CZcams Content friendly.
This event are mostly a big game from Dolly the Sovereign of Sheep( a giant pink fluff that love to play on lava bath)
Though the story quit lighthearted, but not with the battle
Imagine get bullied by a bunch of funny sheeps
Imagine lost to a bunch of cute sheep.
Fought demons, monstrosities, strong warriors with otherworldly powers, even god-like beings, yet get beaten by silly pink sheep

CZcams recommendations once more! Guilty Gear Strive calls for all the little EXTRAS of life oh hallelujah! Dunno if you done them before for FromSoft games but Demon Souls has 2 REEEEEAAALLY strong songs that will haunt you for a while. Epitaph for Boletaria & Abandoned by the Gods(w/ Lady Astreas & Garl Vinlands dialogue) you ever have a video game hit you in the gut telling you YOU are the villian of this story and feel instant regret for ever trying to beat this game?
