Stay groovy,
Mona and Lisa - Hudba
Nobody does these Beatles songs better than Mona and Lisa, just amazing.
The backstrumming, if you can call it that, is the hallmark of the song, for me - that makes the song's otherwise wonderfulness, just oh so much more brilliant! Kudos to the girls for picking up on that subtlety!
It's as if John and Paul were writing this song for the MonaLisa Twins without knowing it.
I was thinking the same thing. The voices are enchanting.
Its not Lisa and Mona (L&M) without reason - Lisa Lennon, Mona McCartney!!!!
Have Paul and Ringo thanked you girls, yet? They should. You are keeping true to the music they were a part of and bringing it forward into this century with a real freshness. Outstanding performance of this song. Your harmonies are breathtaking!
I agree with you... Paul and Ringo should have thanked these loves girls already.
Paul and Ringo said this cover is one of the best Beatles covers they've ever heard, which is a remarkable gesture of appreciation by them considering James Brown, Frank Sinatra and Aretha Franklin have all covered the absolute Godheads of music.
Paul and Ringo are so gracious. We should all thank them.
VERY well said
Well said or asked!
The Mona/Lisa Twins on this song proves one thing, there is no one on You tube or anywhere else that is half as good. Their musicianship, their melodies, their work ethics are second to none. You should go into the Mona/Lisa Twins Club and see just what they are all about. You will be amazed with their latest release, Questionable, an original!! They can sing and play anything. Way to go Ladies!!! Stay Groovy!!!!
And now they can (pre-) order the Twins latest album of originals.
The genius of John Lennon, yet again ... I can't get over just how talented he was ...
These girls do justice to a great Beatles song. Outstanding!
I'm so glad the MonaLisa Twins have brought these beautiful Beatles love songs back to life, and that they have the wisdom to stay loyal to the original sound. They're not just perfect songs for them, they're perfect songs, period.
For me, this is the Beatles' most heartbreaking song. To hear two beautiful and talented women sing this one is a real treat. Well done!
Mm
Muy buenas
Agreed. Its minor key and harmony intrigued me way back in the Beatles era. I much later learned that it was close to some Renaissance music (and earlier) but the writers probably didn't know that. Simple and direct from the heart with built-in resignation.
The MLT shape the guitar against harmony with astonishing subtelty.
Two young ladies ? ne?... two women...
@@JC-zr3eb Thanks for the woke comment. LOL!
When they came to the last bar, my heartbeat almost stopped!
These two chicks are the best Beatles cover duo, group, band. And this song is a masterpiece that only GodJohn could have written.
We should call these young ladies 'Angel Voices Twins' !
Loved Beatles sing this song but this as good well done from 76 yr old Beatles Fan.
This song is like an old friend.
The Beatles were masters of melody and this is great.
John Lennon at his prime! A Hard days night is one of the best album the Beatles did!
It was on Beatles '65 in the U.S.
You´re a clever boy! You notice things that other people can´t see! ;-)))
yes just girls but....they are exceptional in harmony and guitar/drums playg
John Lennon in his prime??? He was always "in his prime." I know what you mean, though.
When I listen to MLT songs, the world is a bright, sunshiny day, and I don't want to return to reality.
I'm 70 and never was a big Beatles fan. I am now! I love your versions of their songs.
Haunting Mesmerizing Beautiful.
The Twins are gorgeous in EVERY way....................................
It is severely clear that they have the ultimate, faithful recipe for a cover of Beatles tunes.
Thank you William!
MonaLisa twins I hope you will come to Scandinavia! The Beatles went to Sweden (where I live) on their first tour abroad! Im a musican as well and you got me addicted to both the cover you play as well as you great own songs! Let me know if you need a bass player or guitarist! ; )
As a Norwegian Beatles-fan, I agree that they should visit Scandinavia. But Sweden had a visit from The Beatles, so Norway deserves a visit from "The "Twins" ;-) I also volunteer to play (my Hofner) bass for free!
IamMagPie I love my nabo Norway and your right! I would love to come to Norway to watch them. In the 90s me and my old band did the exact same covers as these girls. We "toured" Scandinavia and Finland, Hamburg and London at clubs. We dressed and behaved like the Hamburg Beatles and did quite well. Sticky Flowers was the name of the band. We could have had a better name but we thought of 2 albums we loved "Sticky Fingers" by the Rolling Stones and Pauls" flowers in the dirt"
This is a criminally unappreciated gem.
It really is a very good song, and an excellent example of the Beatles' gifts for creating songs. Interesting key changes. I like when they switch it from minor to major at several points.
This is an amazing cover. The lead guitar is especially expressive, punctuating the lyrics in a way that can't be heard even on the Beatles' original.
I'm sure Ive watched this video over two hundred times over the last few years I really can't pick one Beatles song and say that's their best but if I had a top 20 list this song would be on my list!! I haven't heard many people cover this and YOU TWO NAILED IT!!!
Fortunately, we don't need to pick. I enjoy them all.
@@BuffaloC305 Sorry, i feel forced to pick because I have OCD.
@@JohnSmith-su3ze 🙂 I have PTSD. +30 yrs. but watching/listening to these gorgeous ladies' sing is very soothing. I guess having OCD. might make you listen to them multiple times . . . like obsessively? 😉
These two wonderful Austrian ladies totally rock?!! And they're as cute as a speckled pup!!!
My god the harmonies! You're amazing girls
@William G Danson ONLY???
The crispness of the recording could not be achieved when the Beatles did this song. The strumming of the guitar jumps out with a sort of melancholy that I just couldn't hear in the original. And the vocals, singly and in harmony, are every bit the equal of Lennon and McCartney. The MonaLisa Twins bring the genius of the original into today and reveal the magic that has been obscured all these years by the recording technology of the 1960s. Of course some of that magic is also the added beauty and grace of the Twins. I hope to hear this recorded for an upcoming Duo Session CD.
You are right about the sound here, but in the 60s they recorded on 4 track tape sooooo, it only has 4 channels to try and get it all.
One more middle-aged/elderly guy here blown away by your Beatles covers. Never thought the originals could be equaled, but there you are, never say never...
Love this bittersweet song with great hook line and chord progression that you hardly in today's pop music. A fantastic rendition that John will be proud of.
There is no doubt in my mind that if these two LUSCIOUS ladies were born 54 years earlier, that the Beatles would have had 6 members - not 4. God I wish you were in the United States!!!
It's the best cover version of this beautiful, sad and romantic song!
Love this!
What a fantastic cover version. The Beatles used simple chords like Am, C, G, F, F#m, Bm, E7 and three voices very close to each other, simply amazing and btw you girls have done it very well.
I'm totally in love with two talented ladies! I'm going to Austria!
I'm not sure who to applaud, the Beatles or the twins? Both are astounding!
They are the only group that cover Beatles songs the same way the Beatles recorded them. I'm impressed.
I applaud both and if not for the Beatles' manager introducing them to George Martin they may not have matured into their best selves that they were.
Well, the twins had the same Beatles -father. Never tell anybody.
No one that I know of is better able to express the beauty and the brilliance of Beatles songs.
One of my all-time favorite Beatles songs. And I am sure if they have heard it they would be very flattered.
So good always
i am shaking❤
Another great rendition of a Beatle classic by the MonaLisa Twins.
I love this song. ❤
Everytime I hear you two harmonize I get goosebumps. Your Beatles covers are the best. Keep up the great work.
I'm very fan of the MonaLisa Twins and their work on the Beatles songs. But to me, the most beautiful cover of I'll Be Back is the very personal cover of Colvin Shawn. She sing like an angel and great guitars parts.
@@gillesserrigny6324 Never heard that version but I'll definitely check it out. Thanks!
It's so nice to see younger people appreciate good music of the past....I have a 6 year old granddaughter who knows all the Beatles names.
I'll Be Back might be the most haunting poignant melody ever written. Heart-wrenching and beautiful.
Forever Beatles
Best rendition ever - ear candy+++++
I can listen to you girls all day!
The guitar work in this is just amazing.
George and John are impressed from heaven I'm sure. I'd love to see you two sing with Paul and Ringo! I have a feeling the mass recognition of your musical genius is on the way... ready to be a household name? I'm telling everyone about you both! Can't get enough of your songs!
The songs will be sung in 2050, 2100, and beyond by talented young people who know great music when they hear it. The Beatles Forever!
Wonderful!!!
As a 65-yr-old who spent a lot of time listening intently to Paul & John harmonize their way through the '60s I just realized that that (remarkable vocals) is what's excellent about MLT -- that and the fact that - instead of shooting for 100% facsimile - MLT stay true to the spirit of the tunes. No easy feat.
Please come to America. We are in dire need of some great music. You two are just what the doctor ordered.
Could not agree more!!!
Yes, the U.S. is an enormous country, geographically and culturally speaking, and the music of the '60s and '70s is still revered here. If your booking agent is at all well-connected, he/she should be able to get you more tour dates than you could possibly perform. With the help of some advance publicity (radio interviews, CZcams ads, etc.) you ladies would soon be playing to sold-out clubs and standing the nation on its collective ear!
I may hope that doctor went by the name of Trebor?
Come to The Peoples Republic of Illinois
The reason the music o f the 60s and 70s is revered here is because of the dearth of quality music here today.
Can't understand why anyone would give you a thumbs down. Love you.
You could easily be renamed to "shut up and keep singing!" Congratulations to this whole gang of fantastic kids!
Every day, in every way, they’re getting better and better
The recreation of the great themes of The Beatles is amazing and unique.
Congratulations on yours fabulous work!
Love these two if you ask me the most exciting in rocknroll these days is the the emergence of all these really talented women. The old boys club, thats history .
And soon forgotton , but Rocknroll , that will never die!
Incredibly faithful cover. The Beatles played the Indiana State Fair in September 1964. In a pre-show interview John was asked to name their best song, and without hesitation he replied, "I'll Be Back."
The Twins' next Duo Sessions CD is shaping up to be a smash hit.
Johnny would have loved this! And never imagined it back in 1964.
WOW. Normally I dislike Beatles covers, but I felt compelled to click on this video. I was not disappointed. AWESOME. AWESOME. AWESOME.
At least you have taste...
Then you should watch other Mona Lisa twins covers of other Beatle songs.
Not only is the music out of this world but optically these MLT video's are second to none
The Beatles will always be great and original but after listening to them since I was 16, I enjoy listening to today's bands, especially the Twins, doing their tributes to the Beatles and I like their freshness and are extremely talented. Go Ladies!
Just turned on The Beatles Channel on Sirius XM to find Peter Asher playing this cover! How cool is that! It is awesome that Asher recognizes the significance of quality covers of this great music by young artists. The Twins certainly deserve recognition and air time on this great channel!
If Peter Asher doesn't know good Beatles covers, nobody does.
I'll always be back too. You girls just Radiate Goodness. Thanks again today for making me smile!
Nice job! ( THIS song is from MY generation) . I was BLESSED to hear it when it was brand new. Thx for carrying this song on.....to your generation.
Hey Mona and Lisa
This is again a very, very good number from you.
What a lovely clip from you and ofcourse your singing, so good.
thank you for this fabulous number, i will see it every evening
thanks so much

I was 13 when the Beatles came to the US and they were a big part of coming of age. I'm thrilled to see what a great job MonaLisa Twins do with their music and lyrics. Back in the day, there was too much screaming and fainting and much of the lyrics were blurred. I love your rendition of their music. They really had great lyrics for a time that was as full of rebellion and controversy as is today. I still have and enjoy all my original vinyl albums from that time.
Beautiful!!!!
I'd never heard of the MonaLisa Twins until hearing this cover version on The Beatles channel last night. This is one of the best Beatles covers I've ever heard, and that's saying a lot considering James Brown, Frank Sinatra and Aretha Franklin have all covered the absolute Godheads of music.
This cover version is a beautiful rendition. Subscribed.
You've got a lot of catching up to do, John. Check out their CZcams channel--plenty of covers and originals.
Beautifully done.
Perfect.
And to think, these two ladies were just stardust floating around the Universe when Lennon McCartney wrote this. You truly are a fabulous talent.
Having watched most of the MLT videos I do have a preference for Lisa, but Mona looks absolutely gorgeous in these close ups. So pretty!
This is a great version of a classic song. Very well done.
The blend of your vocals is a joy to behold. You obviously are both gifted musicians and lead vocals are great, but the harmony that you create is exceptional.
I agree! Technically the harmonies were created by John and Paul, but I get the point. It's insane how well their voices harmonize, specially in this song.
California dreaming monalisa twins
These ladies really help me appreciate the majesty of the Beatles.
This puts to shame almost every Beatles “Tribute” band.
Beatles tribute bands don't spend enough time with the music from the early 60s. I'd like those 1st albums any time over the later ones. And yes, the twins are superior to any of the Tribute bands, whatever songs are selected.
It is because they are singing the song here, not imitating the inimitable.
@@dwdabney1974 watch the Analoques!,

Nice harmony Great track
Lovely clean recording. Sweet crisp harmonies... keep them coming, girls.
As a big fan of the Beatles thank you for keeping their music alive
I love this song! The Mona Lisa Twins bring joy back to music, angelic harmonies, and both play multiple instruments! They rock!
this is the greatest discovery i've made in 15 years !!!! JESUS !!!! what talent !!!
The "lead" guitar is brought out a bit more than in the original and to great effect. I go back to the original but, dang it, I just want to hear MLT again.
This is actually my favorite older Beatles song; I never thought I would ever hear anybody else do these perfect harmonies like this....
I'm so pleased that your Dad influenced you both as youngsters and it shows, you are still the only other people that
I love hearing singing the Beatles songs ,Please don't stop ITune is so easy to get your music and is a pleasure to listen too,Thank you so much
Another fave of mine... done to perfection. So sweet.
Mona ! ... Lisa ! . . ., I love your sounds. The guitar part is beautifully played and the harmonies are like hearing the angels sing. My heart is lying wrecked on the floor! I've been listening to this since the boys first released it, and I just found out the title. Thank you sooo much for your gift.
Even on my worse day, your music makes me smile. You ladies have such a rare, refreshing talent. Thanks for some great memories.
To the twins...
Well done. It's one of my favorite Beatles songs, and you've delivered a fine delivery of the song.
Bless you, ladies.
John Lennons incredible songs are fitting these girls so perfectly! I played these songs with my band. We played excellent versions at Clubs but these girls and their talented bass player takes it to the top!
That is such a wonderful cover 👌😃 I always loved this closing song of the Hard Day's Night album, it's getting too little attention IMHO. I'm really happy you chose it for doing a cover 👍😊 and even such a magnificent one 👏👏👏👏👏
I never thought that I'd like anyone singing a Beatles song better than the Beatles, but I do now.
You know you're talented when you're the best beatles cover band in the world and you dont even have to dress up like them. Love your music ladies!!
I've been a Beatles fan since 1963...and you two are AMAZING! I am extremely impressed with the music, the vocals, and especially the instrument choices! Well done...
I'd be curious to know how Mona and Lisa would describe in their own words their approach to Beatles covers. I think they make the best covers I've ever heard. Is it the careful selection of instruments and careful playing? Is it the production? The singing obviously is superb. But there's something more ... maybe the happy attitude that the Beatles had is recaptured for the first time in the MLT music, and that attitude is very hard to recreate, it comes from within, and these young women have it. Most good covers of Beatles songs invent a totally new arrangement and invent a unique feeling, because a faithful rendering of the song goes flat without the Beatles' spirit. But Mona and Lisa take the recordings head on and it sounds FANTASTIC. Quite an achievement. People have been trying to do this for 50 years.
Maybe a Hamburg connection ?
There is in both the early Beatles and the MLT a sense of innocence. Although the Beatles were not innocent in a sexual sense, they were innocent in the sense of having an open approach to experience and to the world. The MLT certainly share this with the Fab Four.
They are by far the best I've heard covering any Beatles song.
Привет из России! Я Русский и люблю Битлз! Вы очень красивые и талантливые !!! Я люблю вас!
One of my favorite Beatle songs. Trying to figure out which version I like better. Thank you.
Part of what I love about your Beatles' interpretations is the way you bring out certain features that may just lie on the surface of the originals. In the case: I love Lisa's "I love you so-oh-whoa." So veddy Beatles you can almost miss it. Then there's the very Spanish sounding guitar. Much more emphasized in this version, and just lovely to hear.
You girls are truly something special ... the way your voices mix together and compliment each other so well. I could be having the crappiest day sometimes, come home and listen to your beautiful harmonies and things don't seem so bad anymore, thank you and please keep it up!
I'm Brazilian and you remind me of the perfect time I spent in Liverpool. Please keep doing music in your perfect way!
