7-22-23 When the garden gives us more than food...

Sometimes gardening can feel like too much work. Contending with the weather, the bugs and the hard manual labor I can occasionally catch myself thinking "why do I do this"? These doubts are fleeting though. More often than not I'm having moments of peace, pride and happiness, like today... when all I had to do was give the garden water, sit back and just take in what I've created (all from seed). It never ceases to amaze me what we are capable of creating when we put our minds to something. Gardens not only feed our bodies, they feed our souls. We all need peace and a sense of purpose - and this is mine. At least at the moment, in this chapter of my life. Feeling incredibly grateful.

Yes thanks, it's really looking lovely this year. I'm especially fond of the foxglove corner and my corn volunteer. Still waiting on all my zinnias, but at least some of them have started to bloom. So excited for more flowers!
