Goldie’s Kids Club: Innovative Iowans (December 2023)

From letter writing to protests, there are many ways for Iowans to connect and express their feelings with their legislators. This month’s Innovative Iowan activity focuses on the important work of Iowan Edna Griffin and how she inspired change through her landmark court case against Katz Drug Store. Learn about Griffin’s life and then young historians can try their hand at writing their own letters to inspire change.
