I don't think people realize how much architecture and engineering play apart of this not to mention being a true artist. Beautiful job you're worth every penny you charge!

Nice job I find the Tacktight strip from clockwork components good as it is foam backed so less chances of damage to the fabric. Look forward to your next project

shikardos = Like !!! I look at each issue. and I have matured issues. how you are doing layout for Karetnaya ties? how do you expect on the plywood and with regard to how the material adjusted to the thickness of the foam. and the buttons are tightened through to the plywood? hole in the foam rubber under the button, you need to size exactly the size of buttons, or less or more, and how much is correct))).? Thank you for the video

Hello Darren of Alo upholstery .I have a question for you .I am reupholstering my dining room chairs, they have the high back which is arched, it has the cording going around the arch on the back of the chair, but it is visible in the front of the chair and the back is flat ,so it looks like a cathedral window in a church.but my question is about the seating. the seat cushion drapes over the edge of the chair, on the sides and front. I want to redo the cushions, but I don't want them to drape over. I want the seat cushion to be firm so when you sit down it is comfortable. When I go to reupholster the seat cushion ,do I trim back the MDF board because it's chipping away ? Or do I trim the foam about 1/2 inch back when I cut it and then go ahead and staple the batting on the mdf board or do I leave it the actual size that it is? I'm really having a hard time with it. Also instead of putting the cording back around the arch on the back cushion, could I put those little nailheads around the arch and have that as the trim, or just reuse the cording on the chair?

If the fabric was leather would you do it piece by piece section by section also? Planning to do it for my dining chair. Would it be possible for me to show you and ask you for some pointers ?

I realize you do the jobs that your customers want. With that being said, somewhere down the road in 40 or 50 years, someone will take off all that fabric and "restore" the chair to its original condition.

David Collier I never realized how much went into this. I’ve done the seats on my dining room chairs myself, which is easy, but another chair I had reupholstered was $950 to have it done.
