The unfair spotting they off and the limited ASW's on some ship just make them the sitting ducks of the pond. A few games, I was the focus of a CV and it just ruined it for me.
@@Aerroonif it was any other CVs beside Richthofen, yes. but it was Richthofen's dive bomber, which WG can't be bothered to properly balanced it and chose to nerfed its accuracy significantly instead.
Yeah, the video was a good reminder why I don't play MvR any more. You can miss all bombs on a Kurfürst, which makes the bomb really unreliable to finish off ships. With the additional rocket attack delay, any cruiser can turn faster than your rocket hit a broadside. Torps are nice but other CVs have better ones. R.I.P MvR, I liked the idea of a high skill floor CV but the ship doesn't reward you for the invested effort.

However, I think the Unique Upgrade should enhance the gimmick of a ship so I believe the Unique Upgrade for Hakuryu should buff torpedoes, the Unique Upgrade for Midway should buff bombs, the Unique Upgrade for Manfred von Richtofen should buff rockets, etc.
@@dzello I never considered the philosophy of Unique Upgrades, but your idea of accentuating the unique play style sounds perfect. It would emphasize why someone chooses to play that particular ship without needing to be overall more powerful.
@@j_taylor Yes, I believe Unique Upgrades should provide improved playstyles (Unique Upgrade Shimakaze is the ultimate torpedo boat) and Premium Ships should provide an alternate playstyle (Unique Upgrade Kleber is a different torpedo boat).

I definitely agree with you, especially on the rocket planes. It seems only effective if the cruiser is playing along with you.

I like TBs, so I don't mind it as much. I think AP rockets would've been the worst option. I don't have the UU though, so I'll try it in the future.
