Played League Of Legends from season 1 till 2 or 3 years ago never was interested about the story its actually amazing that they have done so much.

I only recently started learning more about League lore whereas with Warcraft and WOW it kinda just came with the territory and growing up with the game.
I get what Esfand is trying to say with League's lore not being as fleshed out as Warcraft's but I feel the statement is misleading. League has a very fleshed out lore, especially if you have been playing the game right from the start, then you know that Riot tried to push lore quite hard and put a lot of effort into it in the first years.
I learned more about league in these 34 minutes than in the past 11 years

I love how at the end he was like awesome video fantastic video. Dude 90% of the time you weren't even paying attention. So how the fuck would you know if it was good or not.
What's funny about what Esfand is saying, with all due respect, is that WoW did exactly what he said doesn't work or that an MMO shouldn't do. WoW was basically a rebranding of EVERQUEST, as it pretty much copied most of that game.
oh the lore is ROBUST. And I mean Tolkien lvl of Robust, like... this could very easily be a real life planet we just don't know about. Like it ALL ties together to perfection, ever since the lore was rebuilt some years ago it's been on point. Obviously there are tiny minuscule inconsistencies here and there but nothing world breaking (maybe a character being described in A way but actually being more B) other than that this is by far one of the most well thought out worlds in fantasy, period.
I find it funny that people were saying in chat that league players as MMO players would be bad cause they'd be toxic, like MMO players aren't already pretty toxic
What makes it promising is its being made by Riot and they never let anything they are apart of flop or "die" and also the world is already done with a huge amounts of lore, the only MMOs I have hope for is Riots mmo and Ashes of Creation but if Riot cant make a proper MMO Im giving up on the genre...
"actually warcraft has a lot more lore than league" worst take ever from some one that has not even read a single story... never watched arcane or any cinematic's...
But of course lore is not embeded in League cause you don't need it to jump into a 5v5 and troll some matches, but it doesn't mean there is no lore. Riot has been creating this huge ass compendium of lore for quite some time and you can find everything from comics to the tv show. But then again you're comparing LoL lore with Warcraft 2/3 but you gotta compare it to DOTA and in that regard LoL is clearly superior. If you wanna compare the narrative style from Counter Strike vs an MMO... I mean you're doing it wrong xD
