  • CHECK OUT MY RISE LONG-TERM REVIEW HERE: • 20-22' Orbea Rise in 2...
    The Orbea Rise is Orbea's hot take on the lightweight electric mountain bike market, whereas the Wild is their full-power offering. Both of these are 2022 models. This video was done ahead of the 2023 models being available. At the time of release, there are still some deals to be had on 2022 models of both bikes.
    As far as deciding between the two bikes, the Rise takes the cake on being an all-around that feels much more familiar to a typical trail bike. The Wild is for anyone looking for full power. The power difference on the trail feels less obvious, but I was definitely having to put out more on my Rise to keep up with Andrew on his full power rig on the ups.
    Hit us up at Somercycle if you're interested in picking one up. I love my Rise and am planning a long-term review soon.

    Orbea e-bikes are a blast to ride, doesn’t matter if it’s the Wild or Rise models!

    Andrews cornering, at least for me personally, is what makes it harder to keep up, LOL! He rips!

    You left out the fact that Andrew Parson is ALSO a Division 1 Collegiate National Champion and former Cycling Coach at powerhouse Lindsey Wilson College. Go Andrew!

      I actually did mention it originally, but he threatened me to keep the flattery to a minimum 😅. But I do feel fortunate to be able to do some laps with him.

    Great video ! Just watching it makes you want to ride too 👍.
    But tell me: was is possible and fun to ride the uphill on the rise with someone else on the wild fs ?

    • @DrJMTB
      @DrJMTB  Před rokem +2

      Thanks! And it sure was still very fun. The lower weight of the Rise offsets much of the power difference. The Wild still has more power for uphill, but not so much more that we couldn’t ride together. Hope this helps

    A couple of years ago you did a review of the Park PRS-25 stand. Now that I see this video on a E-bike. I would love to see that Park repair stand tested with a e-bike. In addition, it would be great to hear your pros and cons experience with that stand after two years.

      czcams.com/video/oeWqeNVWcLg/video.html&si=EnSIkaIECMiOmarE. 👆This is that stand. It holds them just fine. After owning a shop and using their PRS 3.3-2 on a daily basis, I’d say the PRS-25 is still an awesome stand. It’s not as sure footed as the pro stands that we use in the shop, but it’s also half the price by the time you buy the metal base for the 3.3. For home mechanic who does all of their own work and is only going to be working on larger, full-power E-bikes, it might be worth the investment to get the pro stand. Otherwise, as you can see in the linked video, the 25 is still working well for me and can hold e-bikes.
