Why don't the Klingon go to war with the Romulan after this?
While the Klingons lacked the power to go to war against the Romulans, I could imagine there were more than a revenge raids.
When Picard encountered the Romulans, they mentioned dealing with a problem on the far side of their territory. I have to wonder what was so much trouble that they ignored the Federation and finishing off the Klingons?
@@jonathanmcfarland288 if they attacked the Klingons in force with the intend to conquer them, the Klingons would have made it a very hard fight of it. And just like they viewed the Klingons conquering the Federation, the Federation would view the Romulans conquering the Klingon empire.
When will we get a completion to Dominion War I'm looking forward to seeing what happened with the breen got into the war
No Klingons died in the the production of this video.
It’s early yet.... give it time.
😂 lol
It's not a good day to die.
And the wrong family was blamed
However, many Bothans died.
Without the protection of the Enterprise and its crew, the viewer can truly experience the terror of Romulan strategic warfare.
Yeah there's no plot armour here.
Balance of terror did a decent job to have both bird of prey and the Enterprise stand a equal chance against one another without signs of "plot armor". Mistakes made were costly, good planning was thought out. Leaders being competent.
The only fault was on the Romulans was try to strike a killing blow on suggestion of young Romulans with no experience instead of leaving to have victory.
This was just truly incredible. Both this and the Tomed Incident are without a doubt your most incredible works in the history of this channel. The amount of effort into the ships, lore, usage of different ships, taking content from your older videos, and showing how the relationship between the klingons and romulans developed, I know people sometimes spit at your content for being "headcanon" but this and Tomed are just too good to blow off. One could EASILY imagine these stories turned into star trek visual productions.
your too kind. im glas you enjoyed it. did you have a favorite ship?
@@venomgeekmedia9886 the V’Melak really won me over in this episode, despite my reservations. Also I love the Raven frigate, which was actually the ship I was asking about during the QandA about the Nova, not the Raven from Klingon academy XD I had never heard of that ugly thing before
I'd rather have his headcanon than whatever weirdness Paramount may eventually create. I'm convinced there is no way they would ever bring back the style of the Ent-B variant without ruining it through artistic liscence.
@@geekiusmaximus1882 ah well then I will be covering it soon.

_In the dark of the night, these shadows created such traumatizing fright. And few things are as difficult to unrust, as broken trust._
Impressive video. Very brutal. Also the Dune parallels now give me more credence in idea that Worf is the Klingon Cincinnatus.
Worf is from Cincinnati?
@@TheWoblinGoblin ; Cincinnatus was a Roman general who seized power to become the most powerful man in the Roman Republic and after reforming the government and stamping out corruption, freely decided to give up his power and retire. The city of Cincinnati is named after him. Also, Worf grew up in Minsk.
yeah well if it wasn't for Kithomer and Worf being adopted he would probably not have killed Duras, allowing gowron to become chancellor. or defeated gowron for martok...
The Klingon equivalent to the Medway Raid/Surprise Attack on Pearl Harbor, except the Klingons bore the full brunt of it.
And I saw a great pair of wings, green and shimmering like an emerald, and they cast a shadow upon the Empire, dark as night, and where the land was touched by the shadow, the trees were set ablaze and all was turned to ash.
Now I see Fire, Inside the mountain,
And I see Fire, Burning the trees,
And I see Fire, Hollowing souls,
And I see Fire, Blood in the breeze...
The pines were roaring on the height,
The winds were moaning in the night.
The fire was red, it flaming spread;
The trees like torches blazed with light.
I just saw the episode 'The Neutral Zone' the other day - where Worf reminded me the Romulans were seen as Klingon allies, in some respect, at the time.
Definitely topical, considering.
i never intended for this series to be topical. but reality has a habit of outflanking you...

Even with the months of build up over on Discord (join us if you haven't already) I never could have imagined this would be the end result. This is the Rubicon you've set a very high bar for yourself my friend!
I'm glad it wasn't just a volley of Disruptor fire as I assumed initially lol. This made the massacre... A massacre... I bet Remans were even used during the Earth Romulan War in much the same way and were identified as not Romulan (As there were still doubts as to what Romulans looked like by 2266 by Starfleet Captains, such information couldn't be hidden for long if even a single Romulan corpse was discovered in the wreckage of a destroyed Warship).
This video was a masterpiece. Possibly your best yet! Now I know why Worf despises the Romulans so zealously... And why the Romulans hate the Klingons so passionately that one of their own would rather die than "pollute" themselves with "Klingon Filth" or receive medical treatments using Worf's blood.
You made a great video, sir and did something that was brought up in the first part of the 2-parter "Redemption" just before closing: "Humans have a way of showing up when you least expect them"
Where do you think she learned that ;)
@@venomgeekmedia9886 Narendra 3 if memory serves

Why?
These are the stories that flesh out the ST universe just like the small tidbits we get every night that flesh out our own and put everything into context.

Another well made video, granted I'm normally a fan of the Klingons. An event like that would force them to take some hard looks at the situation and change whatever they could to make sure it doesn't happen again. They would need to improve their energy production along with other resources, and improve their security and ship designs.
I love the political and miltiary interchange you put on here into the story. Very good! And as always brillantely narrated!
That was more enthralling thank anything else Trek has manufactured in the past 6 years! I found that I couldn't get enough, even when this tale concluded.
😁😁
As a Romulan fan who supports the Empire, this video is very well done! Thank you for sharing
As always VGM a great show.
In short: "None of them had any idea that they'd spent their last day alive...".
Man that is so messed up that the Tomed Incident would lead to the Kithomer Massacre.
I think this might be the best of your audio dramas yet!
Outstanding video. Glad I got to see it premiere!
One of your best efforts. Loved it.
I love the way this was told, just listening to it was like a story being told and you tell it so well, but also I am reminded of Dune alittle, the whole betrayal and how the Romulans attacked the city, either way this was such a sheer treat to listen too, thank you for doing these and keeping this oldman entertained and even shedding more light on events in the universe that is Star Trek, bravo
Now, if I recall the details, Narendra III would have happened before Khitomer. Narendra was about 25 years before Farpoint, which fits with Sela's age. But based on Worf's age, Khitomer would have been about 15 years before Farpoint.
Edit: checking my books, it looks like about 20 and 18 years respectively. It would have made more sense if they were part of the same offensive.
yes. and i agree, really they should have happened much closer, personally it would make more sense if Narendra 3 came after the Kithomer massacre.
Grand center of the Empire, population: ~5,000 😂
StarTrek is so under scaled... 😮
Very well done! Great story telling! 🙂
One of your absolute best.
Very well done. Thank you! 🌞
Bravo!...Well done & thank you from a lifelong Star Trek fan.
Marvelous video! Never disappoints!
As always great work!!!!
Excellent! Great story telling!!
Excellent as always!
another amazing job as always venom ive learned more from your videos about star trek then i ever did on my own😊
Well Done! I never imagined it was that devastating.🤕
Love how you portray the Romulan view that they were the aggrieved party. That they thought the alliance would see them both triumph over the Federation, only to be stabbed in the back. Really played into the hypocritical and underhanded side of the Klingons. How they boast of warrior honour but are all too willing to sell each other out when they think they can get away with it.
Once again, Well done!
Fantastic writing and great narration
This was great episode the Romulan voice actors actually sounded like Romulans from the show
Even the one that was trying to sound like an old man and then sound like he was trying to deepthroat the mic
Thank you for including Thok'mak. Very much appreciated by this Klingon Academy player. :-)
I loved this story please o please keep them coming
Well done as always.
Wonderful work as usual,
This was very well made sir
Really enjoying your work. Would love to see some more videos about the valdor class or the many names it has
might revisit it...
@@venomgeekmedia9886 if you do , perhaps a battle space episode, / wings of romulus, video suran and denata and shinzon in a major offensive data ( shinzon war record, he found 12 major engagements in the war all victories) a fleet of reman gunships and a moth ball fleet of demossisoned romulan ships like tos bitds of prey or d7 stormbirds . SO earned a sub, what a great story!
That was excellent!!
Outstanding..Like a Famer in his field
Perfect job
It's a small thing, but one of those things I think about... Klingon Mead. I mean, considering that Mead is fermented honey and most things of the Klingon homeworld are big a ferocious, I shudder to imagine what terrifying monster produces they honey that Klingons make Mead from...
Probably the thing that killed the previous crews of the Planet Express
Amazing job Venom
I like how you recolored the shots of the Battle of Arakeen from the Dune movie.
This is your best work yet, IMHO. The narration, the voice acting, the graphics- superb! The landing field battle really reminded me of the Battle for Arrakeen from David Lynch's "Dune"(which I loved). Didn't realise you patterned the Reman Night Blades after the recent Dune version of Sardaukar, but that was very neat as well(the Emperor's blades vs the finest soldiers in the Atreides army). All in all, well done! Axios! Now I'm wondering why the Romulans never broke the glass("in the event of war") and released the Remans in their fight against the Dominion, or the Klingons employing their Gorn allies to counter the Remans(or is it too much of a blow to their honour to admit that someone else is actually better and hand-to-hand combat than they are?) ;)
so lovely! I love the Romulans.
Well done and said ☺
🖖😎👍Very cool and very nicely well done indeed and very well informatively explained and executed as well 👌.
Nice! Thanks.

Very good.
You've outdone yourself this time. I was only sad that it was over.
"Feng Tao"- head shake, a.k.a rave
Oh my word, this was another fantastically awesome and wonderfully brilliant gem of a video. Exquisitely retelling the story of a dark chapter in the history of the klingon empire, showcasing just how vulnerable and divided that an enemy can inflict such a wound upon them. Although it seems to me although the romulan machinations and attack laids the seeds fort the eventual klingon civil war, it also backfires on romulans by pushing Klingons closer to federation and creating conditions for their alliance. So that their revenge achieved actually ended up being a doubled edged sword.
The klingons were too proud ti approach the federation. It would only be if the federation reached out to the klingons. Which the romulans didn't think was likely
@@venomgeekmedia9886 Indeed and makes sense as although their opinion of the Federation is improved by the sacrifice of the enterprise C. They are still a proud warrior race that believes it can survive on its own. Well wouldn't be the first time, the romulans underestimated the federation resolve to help its neighbours to their detriment.
It was the klingon version of pearl harbor
I loved this video, thank you for posting for this Thanksgiving.
I liked the part of the video of the Vmelak class, hope in the future you someday post a video that tells the difference between the Vmelak class and the model of the IRW Melak that appeared in Star Trek New Worlds and when you used the same model in your past videos with the Klingons Kamarag class.
Hope when you do make a video of the IRW Melak you also give its specifications like you did with the Vmelak class.
Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy thanksgiving. i hope your guests didn't betray you to the romulans ;) i will do a Shipchat on the Vmelak and its relation to the melak.
@@venomgeekmedia9886 Thanks and nope all they did is have a good meal with my family and later I went for Black Friday sales, even the Romulans can't say no for lower price on stuff they want to buy.😆

Love the bagpipes playing, makes me think of Klingons dressed as Highlanders
Or the Atreides bagpipes from Dune
Klingons are like wolves , just stay away from them but never take your gaze off of them .
Wow, this is among your best. Brutal. And totally one sided.
My headcannon says that Klingon interference was why Spock ended up too late to save Romulus.
NICE!
A great video from top to bottom the narration, voice acting, scoring all of it very nicely done. I personally would have loved to have heard how both Jerod and Worf's father dies. Myself I would have had it been in personal combat with Worf's father scoring the killing blow only to have be over run by Reman soliders hence even Duras would never really know was it Romulans or a Klingon that killed his father.
If jerod even fought. He may have just sat and waited for his just reward.
@@venomgeekmedia9886 lol very true and still he would then had a building fall on his head
Love the Dune vibe, especially since Michael Dorn was in Emperor Battle for Dune as the Duke
Didn't know that. Cool.
I really want to see those Romulans pay for this slaughter!
you may be disappointed...
The Vulcans got the revenge for them in the most passive-aggressive way, letting a sun explode and stopping the one who actually tried to save them.
25:27 "ACCESS......GRANTED TO-YOUR-CITY!"
I'm surprised the Klingons didn't immediately declare war on the Romulans.
Nice video and well put together.... but you misspelled Khitomer tho.
I SMELL ROMULANS ! ? ARE YOU WITH THE GGM ? Galactic Gaming Mafia .
Absolutely fantastic job Venom, this video is your best one yet.
In terms of combat prowess, wich ones are better: Romulans or Remans?
what's your take on it?
You are comparing apples to oranges there, the Romulans army prides itself on it professionalism and general skill. While the Remans are more brutal and savage in their fighting skills plus they have great night vision. It's like comparing an Roman legionnaire to a Germanic warrior from the 1st century AD.
@@eddierudolph8702 but even when comparing a roman legionnaire to a germanic warrior we are able to say who was better at what.
In that particular case you're comparing a soldier to a warrior, the roman being well equiped (germanic nobles would have similar kit tho) and trained to coordinate with their unit (also being quite effective as a singular unit) while the germanic warrior has no training other than experience in coordinated battles while being agressive and in the case of the germans a warrior culture that pushed them to the extreme
Romulans and remans can be explored in a similar fashion, trying to understand how they fight and the tactics they may use. This could also tell us how they would fare fighting each other.
i mean 1V1? probably a Romulan Sk'Tari. but when you crank up the numbers, thats where the remans start to shine.
Whoever did the voice for Colonel P of the Tal-Shiar needs to quit mumbling. I could barely understand them. Aside from that outstanding video as always!
The shields down bed security reminds me alof duke leto in dune ( in a good way ). Edit ( you credited frank hurbert) nice
yeah it was kinda the point ;)
*Khitomer
Besides that, brilliant video.
WITH ME?!? - Gurney, Son of Halleck at the last charge of the Khitomer Guard
17:56 you can always find the enterprise near the neutral zone……. But this one is doomed to die
Are we ever going to see a completion of the Dominion War
soon...
🎉🎉🎉
I riley liked the video almost all the voice actres were perfect
Except for the tal-shar actor I had to turn subtitles on just to know what he was saying
I'm guessing the shock of Kithomer prevented the expected klingon response which would be a full scale attack with the goal of oblitorating a key romunian world outright not to mention the political turmoil of Kem'Pec's early chancellorship.
yeah... except they were way too weak to do anything like that.
This would have been good on audio cassette in the 80s, screams "House of Harkonen"
