- Dove Cameron talks to ET’s Katie Krause about her song, ‘LazyBaby,’ which was inspired by ex-boyfriend Thomas Doherty. She opens up for the first time about their split and how hard it was for her, but also reveals they are still in touch and admits she will always love him. The ‘Descendants’ star also talks about working with Rezz on their new track, ‘Taste Of You.’ Both songs are out now with more music on the way!

I know we only see on social media what people want us to see but their relationship really looked like everything i always wanted. That bond, friendship and lovers all in one and adoration they had for each other and same intrests... i always wanted something like that and when they broke up it made me wonder if something like that even exists

It's better to have loved and lost then to never have loved at all. It exists and when while we don't know the details to their specific situation they very likely did have all the things you mentioned, but sometimes you have to say goodbye, doesn't mean they weren't in love.
It broke my heart when thomas ,and dove break up they were such a cute couple I thought they would last forever but, not all relationship cant last in the public eye🥺😢💔.

I am so proud of Dove for knowing that she needs to take time off from relationships and learn to explore herself and be single. I know there's a lot of unsaid things involved with this to. But it is still for young women to learn to be strong and independent. To learn to be on their own and love themselves before they commit to someone else.

I don't think the romantic type of love is special. And I am started to think that the romantic type of love isn't real. I mean about more than half of romantic couples either break up with each other or divorce each other, while most platonic best friends remain friends until death.
I think that having a platonic best friend is a lot better than having a romantic partner or spouse is. Having someone who's like a sibling to you is a lot better than having a romantic partner or spouse. Also, you are more likely to be much more closer to someone who's like a brother or sister to you than you would be with a romantic partner or spouse.
People tend to fight with their partner or spouse a lot more than they do with a platonic best friend, and you never fight with your best friend the way you fight with your partner or spouse. Partners and spouses are just temporary. If you break up or divorce them, it's hard to go back to them. With your platonic best friend, you're going to make things work, because they are your best friend, they are your go to partner. It's always easier to make amends with them than it is with a romantic partner or spouse.
