MARIO PARTY DS IS UNDERRATED AF. The minigames are so unique because they all fit the theme of the game. That everyone has been shrunk. You actually feel like you are battling to get big again rather than just playing some party games to get stars. Also the splurge star on DK's Stone Statue was a great feature

How to play as shy guy: play with a friend or with a family member and if they don't have the game card the game will chose what color do they play as shy guy but it's only for the person who doesn't have the game card.😄

You should really do a full series on Insaniquarium. It’s one of my favorite childhood games of all time and is great to kill time, full of awesome gimmicks and humor. And can even be challenging.

Dry Bones in the Dry Bomber is hands down the best Character/Kart combo of all time. Perfect handling and unbelievable drift boost. My personal favorite game from the series.
6:03 reminds me of my favorite character and kart combination as a child, I also loved ds Bowser's Castle track, and I was constantly in 8th Place, nostalgia really hit me like a truck

I am triggered that your characters cannot dance during Starman invincibility except in Mario Kart DS.
Another cool thing about the balloon battle mode in this game, is the less balloons you have inflated the better items you get. I like that there is a risk reward element outside of race shortcuts.
The physics are also amazing . I would always pick Bowser Tyrant kart , because it would do a lot of knockback and push the Cpus off the track very easily. LOL

DS games were always so jam packed with endless things to do and unlock and explore, hence why I’m still replaying so many of them to this day (metroid prime hunters, gta chinatown wars, mkds)
This game holds a special place in my heart. During the summer, me an my friends went to a summer camp, and every day, we played this, Mario Party DS, or the minigames from New super Mario Bros. We even screwed with Pictochat and flipnote sometimes. Good times

The character selection in this game is perfection. All the good ones, Mario, Luigi, Waluigi, Wario, Peach, the lot of them, and no terrible “We’re our of ideas so let’s just chuck him in” characters. Well, there’s ROB, but we can let that slide since everything else is still amazing.
I wouldn't say ROB is considered bad. He's just not a fan-favorite.

Though I’ve played N64 with my cousins and a bit of my brother’s GBA game , this was my first Mario Kart I owned and I certainly played it a lot.
And the top screen of my first DS broke so I actually had to use the bottom screen until I got a new one.
One thing I really liked about it was seeing what items everyone had though so I could react to an enemy blue shell and switch places before getting hit.
Ahh... MKDS! The BEST Mario kart game besides deluxe! It was just a dream for my little young self to hop on the couch and grind out everyday to get all the unlockables! I love this game for how nostalgic the kart tracks are and even the battle kart stages! And don't think I forgot about the wonderous gamemode called mission mode!! Thank you for this amazing video Nathan!
Mario Kart DS was my second Mario Kart game and I loved it so much I broke the L and R buttons, and I always used Dry Bones.

This video came out EXACTLY 10 years after Mario Kart Wii was first released outside of Japan.
This is my favourite game of all time. I was young at the time and i remember playing for hours, i would play any character on any map and any game-mode it didn’t matter. This IS the best Mario-Kart. Period. This IS my childhood.(And yes, Waluigi’s Pinball is the best track ever created).
People ask me why I carry around 4 ds's. It's literally just so I can play 4 player mario kart (sometimes 6 depending on if someone brought their ds) at lunch with friends. We yell, we laugh, and we have fun. We also get weird looks from people that think 4-6 9th and 10th graders is stupid but hey who are they to judge.

When I got my ds (my first gaming system), all I had for it was pokemon diamond, super mario 64 ds, and mario kart ds. Those three games hold incredible nostalgia for me.
I got mario kart ds in 2010 when i got a dsi for christmas. It was a very big thing to play at the daycare i went to and it was a defining part of my childhood
On the playgroudn when I was younger, we talked about ROB and how he was unnubtainable in the Game, except with cheats.

Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii were literally my childhood. My parents were always at work, so I had to go to a childminder for the majority of my childhood, but literally everyone there had a Nintendo DS and a copy of Mario Kart DS. We would always jump onto local play when it was raining out, and play the shit out of race mode and battle mode. We'd also go on to the Nintendo Wii when there were less of us there and play Mario Kart Wii. Both games are very nostalgic to me, and watching videos on both really does make me look back at the amazing time I had.

5 months later... well as far as I remember that was Yoshi's Island in the Last Cup and you had to jump with a speed boost over a gap (through a waterfall maybe, not sure about that)

The Legend Of Dee i mean i see people complaining about no waluigi, but what would really change that much if he was in the game? He probably wouldnt be as good as metal mario and people probably wouldnt change from the metal meta.
so what im saying is that if you look past the characters, mk7 has one of the best selection of nitros and retros, the gameplay feels fluid and glider physics are way better than mk8.
