I wince each and every time this lounging interviewer interrupts and hijacks the conversation, burning up endless minutes with IMDB stories about her own father which she knows better than anyone, having lived them. Here´s a thought: How about he keep his questions concise and then graciously shut the hole under his nose and allow the daughter of Burt Lancaster, who knows far more than he, to speak freely without him constantly inserting himself into the narrative. She is the attraction here, not Mr Rode, and doubtless has a wealth of knowledge and insight far beyond wikipedia and biographies. When will interviewers learn that it´s not about them?
