Does anyone know a shortcut for navigating up and down to next/previous shape / group / effect inside the layer dropdown for example when you need to rename a bunch of layers?
@@schoolofmotion Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, when I hold spacebar the hand comes up but I can't move around the image. I found out however that I can manually click where I want to zoom in by using the manify glass

how come everyone making tutorials is using the ctrl shift d to duplicate then delete the excess for timing part in the vid instead of just going to the time they want to stop at and hitting [ or ] ? why?
Great video, thank you. I think when you say that hitting [ will move your layer to the playhead this is misleading, what it actually does is erase any of the layer preceeding the playhead.

just press the 'fn' button on your keyboard and then incase you have the new version of MacBook Pro then it will appear on your touchbar otherwise if you have the older version of the MacBook then it will be on your number pad as is the number keyboard
@@msmit1999 Well, google for example says that cmd = Windows Key, even if that's just wrong for Premiere etc. And I'm not sure if that is the direct translation for all the shortcuts.
Ctrl+Shift+X will trip your comp to the play area. Been using it a lot lately.
I'm new to using After Effects; these keyboard shortcuts are a big help!
