I was at this event as a Private in the 5th Virginia. This is one of the most memorable events at the 150th Gettysburg for me, because within 10 minutes, the entire scene was blanketed by a thick coat of gunsmoke that enveloped the whole of the hillside and well into the valley. As we turned to fall back, we saw fresh troops and mounted officers emerging from the smoke as if they were ghosts. It was a thrilling scene.
Amazing and quite realistic, as if in a time capsule! The shaky footage makes it more compelling and immersive!!
Especially when you see a guy falling 1:08 , as he got a bullet...and the people shouting around excited
