    The points you give importance basically shows what's your taste. The main things are a well engineered engine and a well engineered frame that handles decently. Don't give too much importance for frills. This is why Indian reviewers earn a poor name. Know what the priorities are. There are companies who focus on engineering than show off. Don't be attracted towards display design etc. That bike is great and is an all-rounder for Indian roads.

      bhai konsa nasha kiya hai, this is supposed to be Adventure tourer, which means it should be comfortable on very bad roads; should have large tank to travel more miles etc. Why would someone pay premium over the regular product available in the market. For instance, see himalayan and duke adv390.

    I have mt15- i was searching for a Adv design* bike with a tubeless set-up with a racing tuned engine performance with a very good pelion comfort which should be a 250 cc with a good midrange and top-end tuned bz in low-end with 6 speed i can gain crusing speed of 80 calmly and that minimum rpm of 250 cc can help in increasing economy

      I agree! The reviewer is too hyper and showy!!😡
      It's such a good machine, runs so well. Doesn't bloody give less than 33-34 kmpl, ever!! People have regularly taken 40 plus kmpl during certain type of driving (speed etc). Foolishly, he is indicating that the bike may give 27-28 kmpl...what he has taken, while reviewing the bike??? He is continuously mentioning why someone should expend Rs 36000 more than Gixxer? He doesn't even understand what is like sitting "on the bike" and "in the bike"!! A very good tourer like this bike has been made comfortable with this well structured "touring stance"! With the suspension on "stiffer side" it gives such a good stability on road and while applying breaks! The wheel sizing, weight distribution etc too entails some additional expenses for company! It's ok if someone picks up Gixxer to save some money or likes that stance but a proper adventure tourer would always think about his comfort, stability, safety etc for his day long touring!
      This review is as foolish as it gets, really!! 😡

    I think Suzuki did the right thing by naming it VStrom. Had they given it another name, say Gixxer Adv, this bike wouldn't have gotten the same attention as it grabs now. It would've just been given a pass as another Gixxer.

  • @tanmaymirashi1
    @tanmaymirashi1 Před rokem +20

    Suzuki website also calls it a softroader and not an offroader. As a tourer, I think VSTROM is an excellent choice. Good top speed, comfortable suspension, refined engine, relaxed cruising, good mileage, and excellent low and mid range. Lower seat height should also help shorter riders compared to KTM adventure 250.
    I have a gixxer 155 and it was comfortable on bad roads, VSTROM should be better along with all the ADV benefits and 250cc engine

  • @yoaashay
    @yoaashay Před 2 lety +89

    Tbh I think it's much better looking than the Gixxer SF. And it may not be a true dual sport adv, but part of the reason is our expectations set because of the way it's been marketed. Ideally it should have just gotten road spec tyres and it would probably be a great sport touring bike.

    I've done 5,500km on my v strom 250.
    The only modification I made was handle raiser and ADV fat bar handlebar.
    Straight riding posture was very comfortable and seat comfort was amazing .. even at hard rear suspension as you claimed.
    Gixxer is a sport bike with fwd lean position which is NOT good for adventure long touring rides.
    Off road performance was also remarkably done it's job. You can't hit trails at fast speed but go.slower, choose your line and it goes over anything you point it at. Simple slow down so you won't bottom the front suspension and to be frank regardless of what bike you have, it's always a good idea to slow down on rough trails and you'll not likely fall or drop the bike.
    It's not even a comparison with Gixxer, it's totally different dynamics although with same engine.
    Food for thought my friend

    This is a really good tourer. The mid range torque makes overtaking very easy. Also unlike ktm it doesn't demand frequent downshift. The suspension is a real bummer. On bad roads it makes the riding worst. However saddling is very easy for my height of 5'8" & hence i can glide through most of the bad patches & the humps 😉

I don't bash the vehicles I ride/ drive on bad/off road. I like refined engine which are fuel efficient and can stay in city traffic with minimal gear shifts. And all this I find ticking the boxes on the V Strom. And also the BMW GS310 but it cost's over a lakh more.

    The main point here is that the actual V storm and this have sky and hell differences so they should probably change the name from V storm to V tour it’s a pure road bike with 0 capacity of off roading . (Off roading(Adv) is where you have paths made of huge chucks of rocks,swamps etc here in touring its a asphalt road on hill or in desert ). So this is a touring bike because of suspension,silencer position,alloy wheels (Adv doesn’t come with alloy check GS1250 /Africa twin or check. Xpulse and Himalayan (even for other specs you can compare )),wheel size

This is not off road full adventure bike, not even suzuki have said that. No doubt every bike has negative side, but i think let the owners decide who really own and review.

So i think you should focus little on positivity being non-owner, thinking about the youngsters who really wants to understand the new product in market, not everyone get their hands on ducati scrambler, no one likes to ride and have really fun coming from big cc bikes to these ones, like you. But true bike enthusiast even having fun tiding tvs xl or any moped.
