- Today I discuss my list of books I plan on reading in the month of May 2024! I have five books I plan to read this month. I've been keeping at one book a week so far, so let's see if I can keep up that pace! I have a couple of series I plan on continuing this month. As well as a standalone and starting a new series that came out this year

I’m reading The Grace of Kings and The Hero of Ages this month! I really enjoyed The Well of Ascension, I love the characters so I didn’t mind that the plot was slow moving at times. 😊
That's a solid selection! That's good to hear, I'm hoping Well of Ascension holds up to the light of the first

Thanks I appreciate that Lan! Ya know it’s funny you say that because “Lan” is one of my favorite characters from Wheel of Time. Which is about as epic of an epic fantasy as you can get.
@@DiggerdanReads Yeah, I've had people ask me if I was named after him haha! I haven't read the series but I've heard he's one of the best characters so I'm chill with the association 🤣
I think it was released originally as The Final Empire, but more recent publications have dropped the title off the cover in favour of just Mistborn.
I can't wait to see your thoughts on Children of Dune, Well of Ascension and world war z, I really enjoyed all three of those.
I make TBR lists at the start of every month, but I'm such a mood reader I almost always read other things, saying that I'm planning on reading, Whalefall, Lord Valentine's Castle and maybe Children of Ruin in may!

I have my Children of Dune review coming out on Tuesday (5/14)! Than I broke my TBR to squeeze in Dark Matter and I think that review will drop next week sometime too.
Yeah I can understand that. I'd hate to feel forced to read a book I'm not 100% interested in or excited about and than fall into a reading slump because of it. Whalefall seems really interesting. Lord Valentine I haven't heard of but it seems like an interesting trope on "protagonist forgetting who he is." I've heard anything from Tchaikovsky is an almost certified banger. Nice list Benjamin!
I loved The Final Empire, and loved The Well of Ascension even better. Curious how you will fare.
I’m curious too! Hopefully I find the Well of Ascension to be even better. I feel that is the general consensus
If you like world building and politicking you’ll like Well of Ascension. I enjoyed it but a lot of people think it’s slow. I didn’t feel that way but I have a political science degree lol and love long meandering epic fantasy 😂
That's great to hear! My favorite series of all time is the Wheel of Time, and that is nothing if not world building and some politicking
@@DiggerdanReads it’s hard to believe I’ve held off so long on WoT but I will be starting it sometime later this year. I feel like I will love it. The Hero of Ages is probably my favorite of Mistborn Era 1 and The Well of Ascension my least favorite but I loved them all 😂
