In this video, I'll cover up what to expect from just the module aka the functions of this watch. Everything that you need to know before you decided to get one of this. Very thorough, hands down the best video I've seen on this watch. I'm new to gshock and after having watched your video I realize they are quite user friendly. I wish the backlight function would illuminate the negative displays as well though.
I'm really liking this watch so far.
My previous watch was the GA-150. Very similar watch but the new features I'm liking are the stopwatch from home screen, being able to move hands out of the way. and the easy toggle between world time and current time for the analog watch hands.
I find the LED is bright enough to use as a quick flashlight when it's dark. Saves me having to whip my phone out to use the touch for quick things.
From the images online before I got it, I was a bit worried I wouldn't like the hand design on the GA-700 as I really liked the simplicity of the GA-150 hands. but it hasn't bothered me at all since having it and wearing it on my wrist. It's super easy to glance and tell the time quickly.
One thing that is lacking from my old GA-150 is the auto light on with wrist lift. Although I never really used it, it was more a novelty to show off to my friends. I've never been in a situation where I'd need to tell the time in the dark and not been able to just use my other hand to press the illuminator button. So I'm happy to lose that feature if it meant keeping the price down.
I like the clean wide face dial of that model but I never had actually owned one yet. It is to me a very underrated model even though it already has all that quick access to those functions as well like all these new release G-Shock. The auto light is indeed impressive to have especially for that purpose :D

I just bought this in adrenaline red and the watch look beautiful and tough during the day but the led light is useless you can’t read the time when you press the button disappointing but as a day watch it’s a really good looking watch!

Caleb B I know how to read analogs time dumbass it’s the red hands against the red background I own and like the watch but weather you like it or not it’s impossible to see EITHER time at night don’t get butt hurt it’s just a Watch now I wear and like it but the adrenaline red fails the night time test!
I was always been wonder about the watch hand always indicate wrong time
But now I know that hand have different functions

I choose my current time zone but still the digital time is different. How do I change the digital time ?
Manual set the time then, simply set the hour & minutes accordingly after picked the city.
No hourly alarm for this model? I have a module 5520 camou color. Tnx

One thing I have noticed with mine is it does ping every hour like the older model did? is this normal
That is called ‘SIG’ = ‘signal’. You could turn it off at the alarm mode.

Does it have time swapping from world time mode? I mean that does pressing two buttons make the world time mode time zone your new home time and your home time your new world time more?

Pressing the button A,C and D together and then pressing the button D three times I got the module number on the screen but it is different then the one on the back of the whatch which is 5522 is this normal can you help rest everything ok..thanks

At the start of your video your watch displays digital time how do you get your watch to stay at that option (i want my watch to display digital time on bottom screen all the time)
You could set that using 'reset' button at home time. Press it once to change from date display or digital time display.

Then you need to perform the 'H.Set'. Manually set the hands back to match the digital time display. Make sure the DST & all the time setting is already correct and you are at 'home time' not at 'world time' mode. Do the 'hand retraction' again and if the problem remains, send to get it fixed. It should be free under warranty.

I notice on this watch, the labeling (Mode, Start, Adjust, Reset) is clearly visible and readable in white. On my GA700se 1A2, the labeling is black, making it very difficult (if not impossible) to read. Why is that?
I have no idea why. But if you want to fix it on your own, just paint them all. I made a video on how to do this as well. Hope it helps. Cheers!

I believe every GA7xx series with negative display aren't practical at night time. If you have the experience, you could try reversing the display to positive on your own.

Long press the light button. The light is on and when is off release the button and now the auto light is activated you need to turn the handle in the direction as if you are going to see the time and the light turns on automatically

At Home Time - Press (just once) the upper right button to swap between time display or day-date display. Press upper left for city display.

Tough competition. But both of them comes with a different price point hence all the advantages of ga400 over a ga700. They're both lightweight and has quick access to functions. If money aren't an issue, a GA-400 is better. Just try not to be annoyed by its magenta orange backlight though :p

You can switch between Home time and World time in WT mode by just long press Reset button.

how to adjust analog time our self
The analog hands was built to match with the digital time automatically. But you could manually ‘misaligned’ them at ‘H.Set’ mode. Move the hands forward/backward for how many minutes you’d like away from 12 o’clock index. That should do it.

Press ‘adjust’ button once and release to swap the display.

It is an hourly chime or hourly alarm. Reminder an hour had passed. Good way to keep track of time when you're too focus on something.
