  • With a composing career of about 30 years, Debussy was a French impressionist composer born in 1862. His works were originally influenced by music of Russia and the Far East. The single opera that he wrote actually launched his international fame, although he is probably most known these days for pieces like 'Clair de lune' and 'Deux Arabesques'.
You'll hear 8 snippets of Debussy's well-known music. The snippets are very short, and they are strung together to form one 'piece' of music.

🔥 Debussy's "Clair de lune" but in a MINOR key 👉

Again, love this short video of Debussy, Nathan. Clare De Lune would have to be my favourite, along with The Gollieog's cakewalk.

There are a few pieces of music in that short that I know and really like. Well played and superbly put together. 😁

The rare case of a maestro who can play AND pick up and move the whole damn piano.

Debussy's Asian and Jazzy style are what I believe makes him special, bringing it into Europe, he basically travelled the world and brought it to Europe.

    I love Debussy

Several of these pieces tug at my heart so deeply, by playing the short excerpts you start to drag my heart down that path... then the song ends. You played these beautifully.

Golliwogg's cakewalk was actually influenced by Erik Satie's "Piccadilly"! They were very good friends.

Oh my gosh. I couldn’t remember the name of Golliwogg’s Cakewalk, but the fact that it’s by Debussy makes me love him even more!! By far my favorite composer!
