- I think it's always a great thing when a brand can bring elements of great, beneficial ingredients with a fun sensory experience, and that's where Glow Recipe shines. I had expressed interest in wanting to try more from the brand, and they actually ended up sending me the whole product lineup to try out, so I'm reviewing it today!

Definitely make use of that gift card! You don't NEED everything, so I'd say consider what you most WANT to try, or even what just missing in your skin routine and start there. And don't forget, Sephora does give samples!

Believe it or not, I'm just now dippin' my toes into anything 'Glow Recipe'. 😬🤯 I'd pretty much completely backed outta the social media world with last year and my mental health and honestly, had been pretty happy with my routine. They were impossible to miss that whole time, though, and I do love a little fun with my skincare. I gotta grab a five piece value set for my birthday recently and everything has been superb, so far. It had the eye mask and blueberry cleanser that I was the most curious about in it [I was gonna grab a mini of the cleanser anyway, tbh, and I actually thought they could have went a bit harder with the scent on it, hahha] along with the watermelon toner, moisturizer and mask so, worked out lovely for me. Only thing I'd have changed would be the moisturizer for the vitamin c serum, and that's bein' nit-picky; it's still a nice moisturizer and I've enjoyed it so far, it just don't excite me while I would have LOVED to try their serum since it does have the lactic in it, too. I've only found the 'Tatcha' one to work into my nighttime routine well for that and I ain't really a fan of payin' 'Tatcha' prices for skincare.. sorry, I prefer expensive makeup, not sorry. 😹😹
I too use the retinol sleep mask under the eyes and I’ve found it to be absolutely fine! Wouldn’t say the eye mask is needed tbh ✨ 🥑

Because beet the sun is also great as a primer for makeup....have you tried those two together? Just purchased the dew drops today

Hey boo! The lip balm was a surprise favorite, especially considering it has the 3-in-1 benefits to it!
The same with the cleanser, was expecting a smell of blueberries but it’s like full on laundry detergent. But leaves my skin soft

imma be honest and say i have no opinion on them as of yet lol. I haven't tried any of their products BUT i do want to. I'll see if I can make that happen!
I've only tried the cleansing balm but didn't like how it got thicker when it emulsified then took forever to rinse my makeup off. It's okay for no makeup spf only days tho. I wanted to love it but I returned it. I still might try the mist.
The mist is cute and I've used her fora few years now. I didn't get that same experience using the balm! It honestly rivals my heimish balm, truth be told

It’s the most oddly, unexpectedly good product. I didn’t want to like it! It’s $42!!! But damn, does it do it’s job WELL
If glo recipe was like a KOREAN korean brand as in.. based and established in korea as opposed to korean american, it’d be sold 2x cheaper im sorry😭😭 i feel like even dr jart is cheaper. I love the aesthetic but the price is unjust 😭

Just because it's Korean doesn't mean it's inexpensive. While i agree that there are a lot of great budget friendly k beauty brands, there are also lots of higher end k beauty brands too.
It's a super cute, colourful line but it's a little too spendy for me and while the packaging is cute, I also think I'd find it a bit annoying. That said, I'm interested in the banana souffle but I'd probably only pick it up if it was on sale. But that's the nice thing about skincare these days, you can pretty much find anything you need/want at the pricepoint you like!
100% true. The price definitley accounts for the brand and the experience, but sometimes that experience is very much worth it to people! I'll use a $45 dollar skincare product because I enjoy the experience while simultaneously drinking a $4 bottle of wine because wine is wine sometimes

I'm fascinated by this brand. Mostly because for whatever reason it seems to be the one exception among skincare enthusiasts/dermatologists where fragrance isn't seen as an issue. It's kind of odd. I've noticed many derms online who use the avacado retinol eye mask product and they seem to just gloss over the fragrance. Most brands are torn apart for their fragrant ingredients but everyone seems to enjoy this brand regardless. Maybe it's the fruity smells versus the typical citrus or rose? Not sure.
I think it’s because it’s a natural fragrance instead of literally “perfumer”. And also fragrance is listed dead last on most of the ingredient lists so it’s a very low concentration.

The only problem with this brand is their scents. I find so many of them too sweet and borderline nauseating... and i normally like fruity smells but glow recipe is like candy sweet.
Also i heard that theyre discontinuing the avocado sleeping mask? I was interested in the eye one but when you pointed out the fact that you can just use the sleeping mask for under eyes too i was going to check it out buuut i dont see it on sephora canada site anymore. :/

I actually got the retinol mask as a Christmas present but was a little afraid to use it on my oily skin. Guess we are gonna crack it open tonight. Wonderful review video! 👏
Definitely worth a try! It's moisturizing for sure, but not too heavy, plus they actually recommend a couple different ways of using it, which I didn't mention. You can do it as a leave on treatment, or a rinse off mask!

I let them set down before so my face isn’t overtly wet and sticky. My pillows haven’t stained or anything.

It was a surprising favorite! The texture of that one is much more like a night cream to me. But if night cream was made from guacamole lol

It is a very natural smell; not some fake avocado situation. Fresh, and not distracting, so you can go to sleep without having weird fruit-based dreams. 😂
Yeah, it's a very very subtle experience. It's technically fragrance free.

Amelie is correct! But most of the things are fragranced. Even the products Amelie mentioned have very pleasant smells to them. If you're not necessarily sensitive towards fragrance, I wouldn't worry too much. If you do have sensitivity though, tread cautiously.

The strongest smell for me is just the cleanser, everything else is much more subdued

Fragrance isn’t inherently bad. It’s one thing if your skin doesn’t tolerate it, but it’s an enjoyable part of using the product
@ No I feel you, trust me. But as a person who CAN'T tolerate it because it gives me the worst reactions and rashes I was so hype to try something new. But then you used that f bomb at the end of the video and I was like greatttt, another brand I can't use. Be better if brands had a fragrance free options to their products, but hey it is what it is sis lol

I hate fragrance in skincare products. So, this brand is an easy pass for me.
That's fair! I personally enjoy it in my products, and I really like what they do with it here, but I understand people who don't like it.
There’s less than 0.5% fragrance in their products and in such a minimal amount it really doesn’t make much difference to sensitive skin - speaking form experience!
