$51780 + TONS of time to rebuild.. very impressive that people can take on projects like this. I wouldn't even know what the part names are that were broken etc..daunting.
Not overpaid, but damn those were some expensive parts and indirect costs. In my corner of the world(europe) they are selling for 90k €...whatever that is in $

Well if you have 52k in it and a clean title one goes for 80k then just take 20 to 25% off the 80k and that’s what rebuilt title cars go for. So on the high end at -25% the car is worth 60k so you did alright. 8k in the pocket and a ton of experience gained I say that’s a win win.

If you factor in all the labor cost then they would have been better off buying a clean one.
Not really when it come to selling the car price will drop real bad because no one wants to buy super car that’s salvage ;(

That's 62k all day long for a quick sale. The rebuilt title is an issue. And you should never do donuts in an AWD car

Found a R32 here in FL on copart trying to see what I can do, I’m an auto teacher and we have to pay out of pocket to get anything for the kids to work on, so it’s not looking good

How did you find someone in exhaust fab who was not a scumbag. Lol. I wanted to do a muffler delete on my merc and I called an exhaust shop and they wanted to charge 250 per pipe plus they where trying to scumbag me into getting welded tips instead of clamps which they said would be like another 120 per pipe. I just laughed and hung up.

wait wait. do you mean that between the car and the repairs you spent more than 50,000 dollars? in Italy a used intact gtr is found at 40,000 euros. then taxes kill you but it wouldn't be worth repairing. evidently the taxation from you is more gentle.
Yeah it cost me about 52k all done, here in US a 2017 like this one is about 80k.
@@CABuildz used $ 80,000? the market is strange strong dude. in Italy for historic cars there was a law which exempted payment almost 100%. then came the Democrats and the Communists. and they have seen each other well since erasing it.
you can get a 2009 not salvage for 40kish
How did you only pay so little for crashed toys fees? Last time I bought a motorcycle from them fees alone with registration was 3k. I was pissed.
$52k cause you did all the worked most all of it, but for non car guy would be paying $35k to $48K just for the labore with parts

Trust me I did, most of the parts are different on the 2017 model and there was almost nothing used. There is a lot of parts for the older ones that are pretty cheap used but they won’t work on this one.

Papa T Of course, I would suggest getting the older model. There are a lot more used parts, it will cost cheaper.
