Hi thank you for this video.I do not have a router.Can I use ship lap instead?Will it give the same look?

It would give a similar look, but the router gives the edge a chamfer, which when combined with another board, will produce a v groove - this is different from the square bottom groove in ship lap.

What wood material did you use?

It's 1/2" MDF. Not a high humidity area and it takes paint great! Thanks for watching.
