Iberia is a suite for piano composed between 1905 and 1909 by the Spanish composer Isaac Albéniz. It is composed of four books of three pieces each; a complete performance lasts about 90 minutes.
It is Albéniz's best-known work and considered his masterpiece. It was highly praised by Claude Debussy and Olivier Messiaen, who said: "Iberia is the wonder for the piano; it is perhaps on the highest place among the more brilliant pieces for the king of instruments". Stylistically, this suite falls squarely in the school of Impressionism, especially in its musical evocations of Spain.
It is considered one of the most challenging works for the piano: "There is really nothing in Isaac Albeniz's Iberia that a good three-handed pianist could not master, given unlimited years of practice and permission to play at half tempo. But there are few pianists thus endowed."

Awesome work and rendition. Only grand pianists can achieve that. This is more difficult playing Liszt sonata 10 times in a row in terms of energy. And I’m not talking about the memory. Totally impressive.

This is absolutely amazing. Only a few pianists have the courage enough to play Iberia in just one go. Congratulations

To play all these challenging pieces at one sitting without sheet music - pianistic feats like this continue to astound.

This performance surely rivals de Larrocha's. Mr Jo absolutely deserves an in-tune instrument for his brilliant playing.

As Albeniz composed this piece with all his heart, you play it with all your love. So beautiful !

Absolutely wonderful performance. It's one of my favourite pieces and I find your interpretation interesting and very refreshing. I hope to see more of your playing!

This is the best interpretation I've heard next to that of Alicia de Larrocha

Superb rendition overall. Your Eritaña is way above most of the versions I have heard (quite many). Your sense of rythm is great and it sounds really to me like "sevillana". Congratulations.

My congratulations dear colleague. Impressive musicality, sensitive playing, nice you sing while playing. It doesn't even bother me the American Steinway D was not in tune (e5 and a6 i.e.), could use some intonation and the recording lacked bass.

Why is the piano so badly out of tune?

You play very well the suite Iberia but you tend to distort breathing and phrasings with complete stopping and the music doesn’t flow in a natural way
