As a Philly boy who has loved this song forever, I never thought anybody but Teddy, Harold and the Bluenotes could ever do it justice. (And that includes the dishwater version by Simply Awful Red).
Well, I shoulda known if anybody could, it would be my girl Morgan. Ooo, how that girl can make a song ooze outta her like Tabasco Honey! Just lovin it!!

Such a beautiful voice. She never fails to deliver a new and amazing version with any song she does. My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting her and her husband at a meet and greet before a concert; as beautiful as her voice is, she as a person, and them as a couple, were even more beautiful! Down to Earth, friendly, and personable. The show itself was phenomenal. I highly recommend if you ever get a chance to see and hear her live, take that opportunity!!!

As Motown born and raised. I call it crap. What is the deal with singers doing that warbleing like at 1:30 and at the end? Can't they hit the first note in that phrase, so they have to sneak up on it? Even Harold Melvin was a bit guilty in the original. Ruined what could have been my favorite song ever.

A song I would sing in the ear of my girlfriend during her insecure days when we going out ....I would tell her that her insecurity is something that is not attractive and something that she's gonna have to fix cuz I can't do it from my end....I felt it was a form if her trying control me which is not his a relationship works....she finally figured it out and we've been married for 32 years with 2 fabulous boys ....a great song which brings me back to the days when I was young where I guess we were all insecure one time or another but had to get past it on our own and in our own minds
Thank you for sharing that story...it's nice to hear about times when someone manages to move past her fears and find a strong love....fell in love with someone a few years ago...if he loved me back, he would never say it, but he kept me hoping...he seemed like someone with amazing qualities, and it made me so insecure, always wondering if i could measure up...glad it worked out for you and your wife. it shows love can prevail!
