Its a shame you missed one photograph in particular: from 1838 by Louis Daguerre of a street scene in Paris, its believed to be the first ever photograph with people visible in it (a shoe shine boy and his customer, who are only visible because they stood still long enough to be caught by the super long exposure of the cameras of the time.) Worth at least an honourable mention.
Stop pretending some images like the first one at 0:10 were enhanced!..This image was clear, BEFORE you sneakily blurred it to make it appear you then enhanced it! Shame on you for lying!
Anyone interested can find the original picture on NBC News website under ' Iconic Notre Dame Cathedral through history'.
When Paris was civilized, romantic and French...and worth visiting..
And never will be again.
The same could be said about America.
I am french and i do agree with you 200%....
That’s a shame. Last time I was in Paris was 1989. I though it was a beautiful place. I had a baguette stolen from my rucksack. I forgave that. But I hadn’t seen La Haine. I heard that St Denis ? Is one of the most violent places in Europe.
Dear Bright Style,
The shots of high bourgeois Parisian women's fashion from 1900 to 1905 are incredibly fascinating.
Especially the fashionable figure at 4:00, the studio model at 5:51, the Hippodrome Auteuil at 6:18, the Great Exhibition at 6:47, and 10:37 in Bois de Boulogne.
Thanks for this!
Love andrea
Some lovely photos much still recognisable today. The Paris cafe scene hasn't changed much. The biggest difference is the automobile replacing the horse. I still enjoy visiting Paris and walking the streets, particularly along the Seine and around Monmartre.
Thanks for sharing this amazing video ❤
Thank you for your comment
Superb! The colour tints are magnificent. Watching these images from the 19th and 20th centuries is magical and enchanting. Thank you. Xxx❤❤❤❤
I truly enjoyed these photo's! Sometimes I feel I would have loved to have lived in those days! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it
Thank you so much for a lovely and instructive travel through times long gone. I imagine my grandma who did live in Paris for a few years in the early 1900.
Bright Style you keep us amazed , Thank you for sharing these lovely pics 💖💯💖
Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it !

Amazingly beautiful! Marie Dupont's frame 1:12 was another proof of the existence of GOD. Outstanding...
When I see thes eold images, I find myself feeling ever so grateful for the automobile. The horses look so depressed.
These photographs look great, thank you.
This lovely video made my day! Thank you for the sweet nostalgia!🙏🏻♥️
The Bright Style videos are always a Highlight for me. I appreciate your effort very much.
Thank you so much, I sincerely appreciate it
très émouvant ! la nostalgie me submerge...
That was, as usual, Awesome. Some of the work which is put into these photographs is significant and meticulously detailed. One can only wonder at modern achievements, yet ironically the content is of equal gravity, with people indulging in the most advanced technology such as electric cars elaborate finery to wear. 👏👌👍
Merci beaucoup
Beautiful.precious times gone by.
Great restorative work, though the first original image surely was not that blurry? And the music should French from the period like Camille Saint-Saens! ?
Beautiful pictures 👍🏻
Absolutely fascinating. Very well done.❤
Wonderful 👍👏👏
Thanks a lot !
Excellent !
Really enjoyable!

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it
Exelent!!
Paris doesn't look like that now with all their new inhabitants .
MERCI.
This was amazing thank you
Thank you so much
Lovely presentation!❤
Thanks
Merci !
😊👍
I want to go back in time and marry Marguerite Blanchet ❤.
Me too ! 😅
Life seemed less stressful and so much nicer back then. I think the photo@12.20 of the lady in Pigalle is much later than 1881.
They'd just come out of the Franco Prussian war, the Paris Commune and WW1 was just round the corner.
Now that Paris has become unbearable to live in, the cheapest square meter of real estate costs twice as much as a good monthly salary: Close to 10,000 €. No progress in sight. Except towards a Lagos or Johannesburg atmosphere.
ah ces moustaches, j'adore !
Superb!
Thanks !
This is when people were more civilized!!!!!!
Today's Paris is more like a Middle East ghetto....It's really a shame what has become of Paris.
I could not have said it better.
magnifiques photos
Thanks
- Looks like a painting from that era. - On dirait un tableau de cette époque. 👍🗼
It was the best of times (pre EU ECHR) It was the worst of times (post EU ECHR), as Charles Dickens may have described it
💖
It’s all very nicely done, but I would go easy on the portraits which should be a cleaner, sharper version of the original ones, but not so sharp and so clean that they look like they were shot with the latest full frame digital camera ;) The more you let AI decide on what the portrait should look like, the further from the truth the portrait is.
Before it was invaded
Love the pictures. Even though there were great advances made since then, and back then millions were sick and hungry, the people living in those times were generally happier than today even with a easier and more plentiful lifestyle we enjoy. We really have not come as far as we should have. War crime hate division overt squalid sexuality morals even aimed at children, no, we are quickly moving backwards not forward. The world is on fire, Rome is burning. We have learned nothing.
I'd like to know by whom and when all that magnificent infrastructure was built, plus all those huge Cathedrals, during this age of horse and cart, and considering when the industrial revolution allegedly happened. The first rail track EVER was made of wood and went from Stockton to Darlington in the north east of England, to aid in coal transportation in 1825! The history books are pure lies...AND EVERYTHING THATS IN THEM!!
Interesting. But the earliest known photos would be from the 1840s and 1850s. These are all later than that. By the late 1800s photography was common and widespread! And some of these are from the early 1900s.
Who's playing the blues song with that awesome slow guitar at 11:13
Die Hüte der Damen sind gigantisch.
0:34 No, men did not wear red jackets back then.
Breathtaking buildings and architecture, note the small details, the effort required, the artistry, the craftsmanship. At the same time, the streets are unpaved and there are carriages pulled by horses, or pushed by people. One almost gets the impression that these wonders of architecture were not created by these people, or this society.
Wonderful photos. Music not fitting to the era. So, I simply muted 😉

Wish that you'd remove the two capital letters in the upper left hand corner of the screen. Every time that I notice them, I think of what their abbreviations are for and I'm sorry to say that they're not for Bright Style.
LE 1 MAI TOUS DANS LA RUE ET A PARIS AVEC NOS BBs FORCE ET HONNEUR AU PEUPLE LIBRE pour nos enfants petits enfants .
2:17 Kate Winslet ???
OK for the enhenced views not for the colorized
Please do not mess with historical images
Pitoresque sceneries...but the music? Better some nice Musette!
Not a mobile in sight.
These good old times are so far away! Now Paris is becoming sad, ugly, worsened by a mayor gone crazy who decided to make life impossible for Parisians. Thank you for giving us back for a moment this joy of living from a bygone era.
In french please.
I hope they survived and were well after the horrors of the coming two world wars.
Cela a bien changé! 😂 Pauvre Paris! Pauvre France!
The oldest photos of Paris come from 1839. False advertising!😠
****", 🔥🔥🔥"*****sorry Travis but I don't believe that you lose money in does videos as you say.. if you were losing money you wouldn't do it having said that... I will say that you have a good video..... However you're too smart to be losing money so no need to say that
I enjoyed these. I suspect they were colourised by an English or American person as the elegant women’s clothes are badly colour co-ordinated.
Hi, May I share the most important news you will ever hear in your life? God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus Christ(Y'shua Ha' Mashiach) from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. He was put into a tomb for 3 days, and then Abba Father raised Jesus to life and He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must all sincerely receive Jesus to be a true child of God. It says in John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Will you genuinely believe on Christ Jesus and truly receive Him today, before it is too late?
