(FRANKFORT, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police (KSP) released the latest episode of 'KSP TV' today. The episode provides an 'inside look' at the role Telecommunication's play and what goes on in a radio room. KSP TV consists of short films in documentary style format that highlight the inner workings of the agency.
Tpr. Michael Webb said he hopes this episode will draw attention to the important role Telecommunicator's play and create interest in career opportunities within the agency.
"As a road trooper, the telecommunicator on the other end of that radio is definitely your life line," says Webb. "They are often the unsung heroes within our agency."
"This episode is also an opportunity for our agency to actively recruit people who may want a career in telecommunications," adds Webb.
Webb advised that there are current job opportunities for KSP Telecommincator's and that interested individuals should contact the Recruitment Branch at [phone].

Awesome video!!! As a retired KSP Telecommunicator I can watch this with pride!! I would like to see more of this produced. I have watched as time has changed the perception of the dispatchers position. Today it still takes a special person to be able to do this job well & they can have pride in their performance of work. Look at the lives that have been saved thru this position.

This is a great video and tells a lot about the responsibilities of a Telecommunicator, however there is so much more that the general public cannot comprehend about what it is to be in this position. I did this job for 20 years and the stress placed on a telecommunicator is beyond belief. You are not just sitting on your behind answering phones. You are saving lives and performing a public service to anyone who calls in. A hand of appause for these dedicated people, please. s/Auntbee
