I’m watching this clip and I was wondering about what the dog was reacting to. I hear a high pitched sound that I missed on the first time I saw it. I hope that it doesn’t dull their hearing if it’s just to get a reaction from your little buddy for entertainment purposes. I love dachshunds and have owned them since 1977 and I am too old for a new puppy because it would out live me and end up in a shelter or worse. Don’t abuse your little friend and maybe cause deafness just to make a video for you tube. They are so loyal and loving they don’t deserve that. They depend upon you for love and care. My guy has the dog-bone collar too! Marvin is a dachshund-pitbull mix. I've learned so much about dachshunds because of him! I'm truly sorry for your loss, but happy you shared a part of your life with such a joyful creature.
If you got a dachshund you would get the one of the best people I know. I have only owed dachshunds since 1976. They each have their own character and are so funny to watch. These little guys have determination to do stuff you won’t find in larger breeds.My Heidi had the sweetest disposition of any of the other dachshunds I have had in all the years I’ve had them. They are sidewinder runners and their little butts wag all the time. I miss my little Heidi. The cost of getting another one is out of my reach. You will never regret owning one.
My dachshund used to move her lips like she was really trying to talk like us. i also taught her how to say mama and Id give her a treat. I miss her so much she passed in Nov. 2022.
