  • Many have questioned the legitimacy of the social justice movement of the past few years, as it increasingly bears signs of tyranny rather than genuine compassion and concern. In this short, Victor Davis Hanson highlights some of the concerning similarities between wokeness and authoritarianism.
    Victor Davis Hanson is an American classicist, military historian, columnist, and farmer. He has been a commentator on contemporary politics for the National Review and The Washington Times and is currently the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution.

    It is with the highest privilege that I say thank you. You, VDH and Peterson are my particular favorites. Your collective voices ring as clarion bells and I can only hope that more and more have ears to hear. So impressed with your collective restraint. I bias to the more ‘onry’. Immeasurable thanks.

      Just thinking the same thing about those you mentioned. Dont forget Thomas Sowell who is at the top of my list. Sadly Walter Williams passed away this year. Prager is another one who needs or deserves a bigger audience. While the older videos of Yuri Bezmenov and Robert Welch is a must watch to see where the west went wrong and ignored warnings decades ago.

    I was in Cairo in 2009 when Obama gave his "yes, we can" speech at Cairo University. He was treated like some sort of a god. He was in a prime position to make real change. Unfortunately, instead of encouraging personal responsibility, he recklessly promoted the idea of victimhood, which they eagerly soaked up. On January 2011, we were evacuated to nearby France. The Egyptians decided "yes, we can" and started a revolution.

      @Rogerholberg Před 2 lety +3

      @@JB-uv4hm Actually, not the revolution itself but the installation of the Muslim Brotherhood's Morsi to replace Hosni Mubarak was, indeed, the direct fault of Obama. After the revolution there was a difference over whether there should be "early" elections or "later" elections. As the Muslim Brotherhood was the only party in Egypt organized enough to participate in an early election, and would therefore undoubtedly win it, it sided on those calling for earlier elections. Had later elections been held, more opposition (to the MB) parties could have and would have participated. Of course, being slavishly devoted to the Muslim Brotherhood, the Obama administration sided with and pushed for having an early election with the anticipated result.

    Most Important thing in Life here on Earth is to get Right with God, the Rest is Secondary. Please read the Gospel of John, it Explains who Jesus is and what He has done to Set Us Free from Our Sin. In Our Natural State we are Sinners and at Enmity with God, but through the Work of Jesus we can have a Relationship with God. Jesus took Our Rightful Punishment and Suffered and Died on the Cross, Resurrected on the Third Day and Defeated Death. All we have to do is Repent and Believe in Him and what He did with All Our Hearts and We are Forgiven. I was an Atheist for Most my Life so I Know this Might Sound Silly to you, but the Bible is Truth ; All the Correct Prophecy Proves it. Its the Word of God and it Also Shows How Jesus can Set us Free from Demonic Possession / Demonic Oppression. Demons Fear Jesus Christ, and Born Again Believers. Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life, No One comes to the Father but through Him. God bless

    It’s no secret that New York is one of the Jewish capitals of the world. The city alone is home to 1.1 million Jews, making it the largest Jewish community outside of Israel. It boasts the largest Jewish population of any world city, larger even than Tel Aviv and Jerusalem - combined! So, the reason for the American support of Israel is clear, There is no ambiguity here. Israel is the home of the Jewish population and is a small patch in the Middle East. With out American support it would disappear in a day.
    As to the American response to China, I am not sure how to look at this without taking into consideration China is spying on the U.S. constantly, stealing intellectual properties as well as manipulating dialogue on the campuses of the U.S. So, the U.S. is supposed to make nice with a country who is trying valiantly to undermine American democracy and way of life. How else are we supposed to treat them? Certainly not as trustworthy allies.
    Lastly, I cannot understand how anyone could support the Orange Menace in any way shape or form. VDH loses me here. Trump has proven himself to be, time and again, a mendacious criminal of the highest order and cannot be trusted.
