I saw Roy and the band playing outside that year in Den Haag! Being a kid I couldn't understand much of what they've played. But how humble he was! After the gig he just packed his trumpet and walked away together with the sax player. I never forget that day. Rest in power, maestro Hargrove.
I Love this song since the release, gooosebumbs i've ever get. The Version with the other Saxplayer, i Like more...forgot his , shame on me, He Plays in our local Jazz and Blues Club Germany Weinheim ...i've been working there... But this Saxplayer is also a Killer...... Roy , i Love your Music. RIP.
Wow it is so great to see this again! I was there that year at the Paul Acket Paviljoen. I was 15 years old I was blown away by this. RIP Roy Hargrove.
