This is just one of those pieces I was compelled to play at some point without really questioning why. But I kind of have mixed feelings about Clair de Lune. On the one hand, it is incredibly beautiful and enjoyable to play; on the other hand, it always makes me feel so emotional that it's quite hard to get through. Something about it always cuts right through me. I love the imagery as well, I am a night owl and have always loved the sight of the moon in the night sky. There is something so magical about seeing the glow of moonlight. I think this piece really captures that feeling perfectly.
    Thank you:
    Ben Turk - Audio-visual director
John Hoskison - Camera Op, post-production
Location hire - Julia K, Sarah & Simon

The shadow in the background is so cool, because you can't really see the strings in the background, so it's like she's playing just air.

Wow... I've never heard Claire de Lune played on the harp but it totally works. The dreamlike way Debussy wrote a lot of his music goes really well with the gentle sound of the harp strings. What you've done is added a layer of beauty to an already gorgeous song, bravo...

As a pianist I've been taught that when playing this piece, one should do so as if he was playing the harp, especially when you reach the arpeggios. The harp is a sibling of the piano after all!

I really must learn to trust you as an artist Amy. I saw the title and thought, "heard this so many times" and I have my favorite recording like everyone else. I don't really have the time to listen to Amy cover this tired old classic. But, as soon as you began to play I was drawn in with refreshed ears. I've never realized the deep sense of longing that you bring out in this piece. I love how you pop the bass notes. Most people play this with an airy ethereal feel but your low notes are the reminder that gravity is holding me to the earth-- though longing to float with the moon I'm frustratingly earthbound.
The visuals are great too. I so want to believe those shadows are actually from moonlight, please don't tell me different. :)
Thank-you so much for sharing with the world.

You truly are an angel come down from heaven. I have been listening to Clair De Lune for over 40 years, mostly on piano or on synthesizer. However, you play it so magnificently with such depth of feeling and musical accuracy that I swear Claude Debussy himself originally intended it for the harp . Thank you so much for this spectacularly moving performance of one of my all time favourites.

I guess everyone has their own preference of this work. Note, almost every musician regardless of instrument used, plays Debussy piece slower than he did, between 5-7 minutes. Debussy play this work under 4 minutes. I prefer his tempo. Check out video, Debussy plays Debussy.

Thank you for playing this. This is one of my two very favourite Debussy compositions. The other being 'La fille aux cheveux de lin' (The Girl with the Flaxen Hair). The piano version of this song is fabulous, but the harp takes it up to another level. You can somewhat visualize the light of the moon in the sound of the harp. You play this so very well with the emotion the piece deserve, it is quite lovely. It is something that can be listened to over and over, and it would be time well spent. I hope, whenever the end comes, that Clair de Lune will be the last thing I will ever hear.

It's been a long time since a piece of music made me cry......tonight in Australia we saw the most amazing super-moon - haven't seen anything like it for a decade or more, and so this bought tears to my eyes like no other version of DeBussy has done. THANK YOU!

Those pianissimo parts towards the end
Such beautiful sounds, wonderful control.. They set the hear at ease like nothing else.

MARAVILLOSO, exquisito... siempre crei que Debussy compuso esta obra Claro de luna pensando en el Arpa y Amy Turk lo ha logrado como nunca. Gracias Amy por haber hecho mi sueño realidad de esa manera.

Last night I put this song on loop and then I woke up in the morning, it relaxed me so much I fell asleep. Thank you, I’m going to remember this cover for the future!
