- This was my first visit to Mahavatar Babaji's cave in Kukuchina, Dunagiri, north India, not so far away from Dwarahat and it has been an amazing experience. What an opportunity to sit in Babaji's cave for meditation after reading all those stories in Paramahansa Yogananda's book "Autobiography of a Yogi". And the surroundings.... breathtaking. If you are a Kriya Yogi practitioner you should definitively come to visit this place and stay for a while.

Hello all, there is direct flight to Dehradun from different parts of India, from there you can reach Rishikesh and take a bus to Haridwar. From Haridwar you can take a train to Kathgodam, then Raniketh- Dwarahat-Kukuchina. Share taxi is the best option. From kukuchina Babaji cave is walking distance. Hope this helps.

There Are Two trains from Old Delhi to Kathgodam. And One train from New

Long back i knew of this rishi in Himalayas. It was an article about south indian action macho mega star Rajinikanth, wherein during interview ,he said that he had a guru in Himalayas and his name is babaji. Then I surfed virtual and found that he is more than a saint but rishi attained through rigorous spiritual meditation etc. Just like valmiki , he had become one with the consciousness. All those who search him for help and others near and far , he is there for them .

I also read Autobiography of a yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda.And very much inspired by reading this book. From this I came to know about Babaji Maharaj. Though I am not a kriyayogi but my parents were. Since my childhood I know Babaji Maharaj ,Lahiri Mahasay,Yukteswar ji, Even I saw SatyaandaGiriji my param gurudeva . My parents and me are the disciples of same gGuruji . I am fortunate enough to have Guruji of kriyayoga parampara. Thanks maker of this vdo. My earnest wish was to go and see Babaji's cave. But forme last portion of trek is very tough as I have knee problem and lower back problem. But also lucky enough to watch this vdo and atleast do manas bhraman. And I am happy. It is true that until and unless Babaji calls,it is not possible for any body to reach there. Joy guru,Joy Babaji. My heartfelt respect ,love and everything to That Great Babai Maharaj. What is kesari mudra
Kechari Mudra is a tongue Mudra . First stage we place the tongue tip to the lump just forward of the soft palate, on the roof of our mouth. Advanced practice requires pushing the soft palate till it retracts and the tongue goes up into the nasal cavity and connects with points around the mid brain area :) .
Kechari Mudra connects the psychic bridge , with is essential to reconect disconnected bio-circuits , which we use to Balance the body's energy centres and allow kundalini to rise to the crown chakra. If you don't practice the tongue Mudra , kundalini cannot rise up into the brain Center . I'd like to add just a small point on the cave of Kriya Babaji.
I'm of the view that the cave is a Tantra piitha, i.e. a place in which a sadhaka has attained liberation or mukti or salvation or moksa.
The sacred vibrations of that auspicious event of liberation remain permanently even if the physical earth disintegrates. So that spot is sacred, and had the capacity to accelerate the speed of a practitioner's movement towards the Supreme Entity, Parama Purusha.
The sanctity of this sacred place should be strictly observed, and tourists should be discouraged. This is not a tourism product. It should be restricted only to sadhakas, spiritual aspirants for sadhana.
