Streets will never forget that Kewell & Viduka combo. Best Aussie-made duo of all time
Cahill pretty good too
@@SWOTHDRA cahill didn't have an aussie at everton
Viduka is more croatian then aussie
@@bodycount00 yet he still played for the Socceroos...
Who is streets
that goal from Kewell is absolutely outstanding. noone in our current team could do that
Bamford has scored an exact replica of that goal.
@@donnalouise8268 At Leicester I believe.
Spectacular bit of control with his right hand, that was.
@@rld1982 i see the handball aswell... viduka is offside also.
@uncletom06 Viduka offside yes, no handball by Kewell though.
What a kit 💙💛
Its bluetifull
Now we're stuck with shitty Adidas design
Even though this was a leeds side in decline with the off field mess, still so many of those players walk straight into today's side.
You got that wrong. The club was in a mess financially but the team was fine.
@CB-xr1eg
It wasn't because they were being sold and sold and sold and sold hence being in relegation struggle only 1 season after they were fighting for top4 and then getting relegated in 2004 then after that even AlanSmith goes to ManUtd because they need to sell.
Thankfully no VAR back then..
Viduka needs to come back we need him now, what a player
Yes Leeds really need a 16 stone out of condition striker.🙄
@@CB-xr1eg cut him some slack mate he's 50 years old or something lol
@@CB-xr1egthey need someone 🤣🤣
@@deandrury4330 Jeez, another moron appears out of nowhere. Where does CZcams find you guys?🤷♂
Leeds's Australians were playing unbelievably
VAR would be all over that Viduka goal haha
Classic kit & a classic Leeds United match hopefully we can get the same result on Sunday fingers crossed 🤞. Marching on together 🦚🇮🇨🤍💙💛💥👏👊✊
What a baller was Dukes !! and Kewell at his prime at Leeds was one of the best players in the world.
Amazing kit. Unreal team. Great upload.
Phenomenal goal from kewell.
I feel like he handballs it
@@uncletom06well you're wrong 😂
Kewell's goal was class. Identical to the villa one he bagged. Both past England number 1s as well 🔥
Great ball from Wilcox. That first touch out of his feet was class.
The mighty V bomber!
legend skuad
Every single one of them players walks into our side now. Even Dubes
😂"even Dubes"
Wouldn't go that far!
Kewell and Viduka, quality players! Part of Australias greatest ever generation.
Good game, but this honestly this reminds of the darkness days. This team was on the verge of greatness and we watched all fall apart within a couple of seasons. If we go down this season, it will be no where near the same level of hurt and pain was back in 2004. That was brutal.
Dan Ginn, and we lost the great Michael Bridges back then. This season we're now without the ever dependable Stuart Dallas. Is this deja vu or what?
"That's it! Manchester United are the champions!"
Like it or not, we still haven't had anyone as good as Kewell on the wing, Harte on the deadball and Viduka in center forward since. For wingers, Raphinha even with Brazilian caps, is still a close second after Kewell IMO..
Kewell was a class player, just a shame about the actual person
Agree
Thanks to Leeds, Man United emerged as champions of England that season
Brilliant Goal From Viduka. Leeds United Winners Against Arsenal In The (Highbury) Now Emirates Stadium.
Not the same stadium so…. no.
@@Kilgallon Emirates Stadium From Years 2006 To Present.
@@tirtoananda4348 no…. its a new bloody stadium
@@Kilgallon Oh.
@@Kilgallon Lol yeah, Highbury is now flats.
Watched that it was unbelievable
What a great game I was lucky to be there just by listening to the arsenal line up put the fear of a massive defeat heading Leeds way and that was before the kick off .but we had some good players as well .London was not great 4 Leeds but we played well and took r goals to beat a very good arsenal side that was always in the top 4
4.45 Cole says "you're fuckin shit" to Kewell..6.55 Kewell takes the piss out of him and nearly scores a second screamer of the afternoon.
There you could see Wilcox playing the Harrison role...wide open but didn't get the pass
If I remember right this both kept Leeds in the premier league and ended Arsenal's chance of winning it.
Indeed it did, I was there and Arsenal fans couldn't understand that I wasn't bothered that the result gave the title to Man Utd. More important for Leeds to stay up.
They were so good to watch in the 3-4 years before this.
cmon LEEDS...i love this jersey colour 😁👍
That was to stay up as well...similar vibes 😬🥵
kewell had ashley cole in his pocket. Harry was a beast before knee injuries slowed him down :(
Defo need a repeat of this day
Say what you want about Kew*ll and Viduka. They had big cajones, something you need to reach the very top.
Best game ive ever seen.
I remember this great memory.
I remember watching this on Sky and Harry Kewell was unplayable
Why do we not have a striker, never mind a Kewell or Viduka!
is this to make us feel better and forget the dog fight we have on our hands . i feel for our manager taking over far too late
This match stopped Arsenal's effort to win PL 2003. But next season, Leeds relegated for 16 years while Arsenal won it invincible.
I don't what is the point showing our glory older match, while our current team is in a grave not even find a single pass succeed and rhythm in the match 😂
We had such a good team then, that it's so hard to fathom just why we were scrambling at the foot of the table.
The mess at the top of the club seeped through to the players and affected their confidence.
What a very Leeds United
Is he available for this weekend?
Oh what a day this was 😅
What a team this was, eventhough they relegated due to bad management
VAR would have chalked off Kewell goal for handball and Viduka for WELL offside. Like you don't even have to draw the lines ... he is that far offside.
fucking Ian Harte... always scored at Highbury!
The day Leeds handed Man Utd the title
Was Great to see all the Arsenal fans clapping for Leeds at the end they knew we put a shift in
Gary Kelly..legend.
Get him on the coaching team will ya
That pony tail though !!!!!!
Twice Leeds cost us the title. First 1999 1-0 elland road then this. I'd completely forgotten how many injuries we had this day, no Campbell, Toure, Vieira or Ljungberg. Having to play Keown and Luzhny at CB was just unfair 🤣
@limarofipama
They gave Arsenal the final blow but I think ManUtd would've gone for it more vs Blackburn on May 12th 99 if they needed to win but didn't because Arsenal lost an away game vs Leeds on May11th Leeds who finished 4th that season so away game vs 4th is no given you're going to win anyway, ManUtd didn't win that fixture either. Even if Arsenal had won vs Leeds, it was also still in ManUtd's hands as well plus Utd had the easier remaining games.
As for 2002/03 Arsenal didn't lose the PL because of the late season failed wins vs Bolton & Leeds because they took 7pts off those 2 teams and ManUtd only took 4pts from the 4games vs Bolton & Leeds.
It was Arsenal's record vs the Top 8 that season that was just nowhere near good enough.
ManUtd certainly won themselves the title it wasn't a case of another team lost it it would have only been that if ManUtdhad lost the title by 1 result or something because ManUtd picked up 35pts in the 14games vs the Top8 so if they lost it it would've been more annoying because it would've been lost due to lesser teams costing them. Arsenal only picked up 14pts in 13 games vs the Top8 with no particularly convincing wins nor many goals scored before it was confirmed ManUtd had won the title after this game with Arsenal still having to play 2more, including 1 team in the Top 8 (Southampton at home and only then they turned on the style when it didn't matter, winning 6-1, where as ManUtd won the league because they turned on the style in all the important games against teams in form when it mattered and scored many goals vs these teams).
Leeds leeds
No commentary, novel 😉
Raphinia this time 😂😂😭
He won't do anything, never does aginst big teams.
@@tomw6947 can you stop being so negative where not in the bottom 3 yet
5:06 heard that woman scream a lot at Highbury tbh
and they say leeds were dirty, take a look a the bummers, spelling is not good sorry
This cost us the league
This will be like Everton, we have had two near misses, but the board problems, selling our best players, we havent even signed anyone for next season despite letting seven players leave.
Why did kewell and viduka go they should have stayed instead of jumping ship
8:03😆
Hahaha
Almost black and white this clip
good old days...... every match worth watching for us...!!!! no arabs or russians pumped heavy cash and ruin the league.
Mark is just a natural born striker. Fearless. No one was better to him. And he proved it. Just kick it to him. In many ways his inner n outta beauty matches 10304 . Only his beauty comes close.
