    Third strike is probably the best of all street fighters ever regarding style, game system and so on. Despite of the weird characters of the sf3 series (oro remi and others, characters that disappeared with this series) the game is still a pleaseure to play. In order to confirm this SfV brought back the parry system. This game was the top for tech matches.

      @yksnimus Před 6 lety +14

      oro is not weirder than blanka, oro fits really well in the sf universe.

    • @Enthcreations

      yksnimus so so. This game series had a weird mood. Starting from Q that is an homage to the late 70's japanese anime. The alpha series is much more lucid, solid and balanced in terms of imagery. I'm quite sure that part of the Dark Stalkers' development team contributed to the development of the sf3 series too.
      If there was a street fighter alpha made with the graphics and mechanics of the sf3 it would have been the game of the century.
      Sfa3 had more than 25 characters, while sf3 had 15 characters with a lot of repetitions (Urien/Gill, ken/ryu/akuma/sean and so on).
      The only game that almost managed in mixing sf3 and sfa was Capcom vs Snk 2, that today is still a giant.

    in game 1. After that first knock out, In round 2 Alex he does another super knocking Daiego , he pretty much had time to cross him up as he got up.... no idea why he let him stand up

      Third Strike's oki is super complex because of parries. At 0:55 , I can only imagine Valle wanted to bait a parry from Daigo, but the setup backfired when Daigo did wakeup throw.

    • @werewolf74
      @werewolf74 Před 9 lety +2

      Chris Crissey Also, because of high parries, crossups on knockdown become a little less useful than in other entries, since you can parry OS block if you're good enough.

    I never got into SF3.... I was just busy in college. But watching this it is apparent it is a GREAT game. I don’t help but think about how ASS SFV is. I’ve tried watching and it is just boring AF. PLEASE bring back the 2, 3, or 4 team to make 6 and get RID of the 5 team.

    • @hodgepodge6579
      @hodgepodge6579 Před 4 lety +1

      Eh, you might want to consider taking off the rose-tinted glasses.
      3 was actually considered a massive failure at the time of it's release and it took them 3 iteration to nail the gameplay. The game still had huge system problems and even worse balance problems and the game was only recognized as being good after the fact.
      Just about every other player ended up liking the older sf games when sf4 rolled around and it again took 3 iterations to get it in a pretty nice state you also forget that sf4 was a turtlefest and was plagued with unblockables and vortexes.
      5 is still on its 2nd iteration and was cursed by dropping the ball on its launch. Like every other sf game it has its fans and detractors. It's actually finally starting to shape up with this latest gill update and it is actually more balance then most other sf games. Especially the earlier ones.

      @@hodgepodge6579 not to mention now that they are finally adhering to the fans wishes and has finally "fixed" the netcode after 3 nearly 4 years.
      Far too late, however, as this seems to be the end of the lifespan. Shorter than every other game released prior.

    • @hodgepodge6579
      @hodgepodge6579 Před 4 lety

      @@nagiiboo hopefully they take another pass at this netcode update. For me personally it's better across the board but leaves a lot to be desired. It's essentially a light version of altimore's mod and it doesn't completely fix the one-sided rollback that ruined SF5's online experience. They really ought to do something about the terrible matchmaking system too.
