I remember Jeff Schaeffer saying that if you can play ST or even Hyper Fighting well, where your foundation (spacing/footsies/zoning) has to be on point, that when you get all the extra candies, like ultra, FADCs etc. , you're going to do even better. Seeing Daigo win on foundation plays alone, no flashy combos, one flash kick, one super for the entire video and just normals, against a great player like Valle, it becomes easier to see why he does so well in SF4 and fighting games in general.
People who complain about how this is "boring" tend to complain about this game being "too simple". They'll most likely complain about other fighters being "button mashers". They're all just bullshitters who just don't play these games and have no idea what's going on. They're easy to read, transparent. They have such a pathetically low skill ceiling, they tend to compensate by saying how the game is "stupid" or other nonsense. EX2+ is way better. It still has a decently strong competitive scene in Japan; a bit of a disappointment it isn't played much (or at all) outside Japan though. The game is epic and pretty balanced.

SFXT and KOF 13 is all about juggle making it overthrown instinct skill. well KOF 13 is not so much juggle but SFXT is fucking annoying! u dont kno juggle u dont win! older 2d fighter is all bout instinct skill. pure skill. street fighter 4 is still pure skill while adding a bit of juggle which is the right amount of juggle.... wide audience of playstyle thats why street fighter 4 series is the best fighter of current gen.
