The reasons why Megatron is struggling in the forest battle is because he was just revived after two years of being dead and has a new body with completely different limbs, and Optimus was able to train for those two years.

I think Megatron was awesome in the first movie. It’s probably my favourite version of Megatron other than Prime in media. We see that he’s ferocious, hates humanity and wants world domination. We didn’t need to see his underlying motivations or his tactical prowess yet. The subsequent movies were when I think Megatron’s story should have been explored in depth, and where the movies missed out, but I don’t blame the first one for it
Man, I really wish that they just did more with everything - The Fallen should have been his own Faction, an ancient evil that Megatron and Optimus had to deal with (you know LIKE THE FALLEN HAS ALWAYS BEEN) But I’d actually mention a concept I made for TLK which I think could have been a more interesting take on Galvatron, Nemesis Prime and everything - When Optimus went into space to find the “Creators” it was actually something else calling him. The movie starts on a robotic world only to find an Offline Optimus chained up on the planet. His eyes glow purple as the title screen comes up. Galvatron has been starting his newest plan, finding a way to make Cybertronium from Human machinery and creating a new army using his newest creation - The Insecticons. The Autobots on Earth seem to get overwhelmed when a starship shows up, helping them. It’s Hot Rod and a group of new Autobots. They say they are on a search for the Matrix. A long-lost relic. The Autobots claim Optimus has it, but he’s off-world. The Autobot ship decides to get some data to attempt to track Optimus. But as they do, Galvatron attacks again. The Earth Autobots fight him off only for Optimus to show up! Optimus brutally takes out one of the Insecticon generals, causing all of the clones of that General to fall apart. After Galvatron retreats, the Autobots talk to Optimus as he reveals that he took out the Creators, but now they had a new mission - to take over Earth! After the Humans can’t be trusted, they just needed to get rid of anyone in their way. The Autobots note that Optimus is suggesting something crazy and how brutal he was in the last battle… more than normal. Optimus gets frustrated and leaves, only for Galvatron to show up alone. Galvatron explains that he also noticed something wrong with Optimus, and offers an alliance to stop Optimus, as Galvatron has concluded that Earth is not viable for the Transformers, but is needed to rebuild Cybertron. The Autobots get convinced to work with him while keeping a very close eye on Galvatron. The forces go to confront Optimus. Optimus sees the Autobots working with the Decepticons and declares that “If they won’t follow him as their Prime, then they shall face him as their Nemesis!” And Nemesis Prime is born! The Autobots and Decepticons have a hard time against Nemesis Prime as he manages to send some kind of signal into space, but the tables turn as the Autobot ship arrives. It seems as if Optimus might be regaining his senses when Galvatron goes up behind him, delivering the final blow, killing Nemesis (Optimus) Prime. When the Autobots prepare to attack Galvatron over it, he explains that Nemesis could easily have been playing all of them, luring them into lowering their defenses and killing them. Galvatron gets away as the Autobots feel conflicted. But Hot Rod reveals the Matrix Optimus has was not the Matrix, but something with a dark energy similar to the Matrix. Post Credits: On the metal planet, we see two horns come from it as it catches a signal. “Nemesis Prime has been destroyed. But the remnants of Primus have been located… on Earth and the Matrix is still lost. Let Chaos Reign.” The camera zooms out to give a short reveal of Unicron.
The reason megaton is so much ‘weaker’ in the second movie is because he was reborn into a completely different body with different weapons, and he didn’t have time to get used to it before throwing himself into battle

I like Bay Megatron. He certainly could have been better, but I think he is pretty cool. Great designs, a fantastic voice, and a cool presence, especially in the first movie. The first movie especially did him very well despite coming into the movie late and having limited screentime. He made an impression with that limited screentime and was quite intimidating. I liked him a lot of ROTF, with that also being my favorite design, but wish he had more to do in DOTM. I liked Galvatron in AOE despite him not doing much and I was disappointed by him in TLK. Has a great design, but does next to nothing, gets his ass kicked, and bossed around by Quintessa. Overall, he is a mixed bad and could and should have had more done with him, but I don't mind what we got and like most of it even if it is basic. I will say though, I wholeheartedly disagree on not liking him and The Fallen. I really dig that relationship, master and apprentice, it gave me Palpatine/Vader vibes and was very cool. Plus The Fallen never actually bosses around Megatron in the film. Yeah there was some of that in the comics but the movies never really acknowledged them, so The Fallen never actually gave Megatron an order or told him what to do anywhere in the movie. I don't know, I just dug that Megatron had a teacher, and he treated him with respect with his master seemingly treating him with respect as well. I just feel like if Darth Vader can be a badass while taking orders from the Emperor, then Megatron can be a badass having a teacher as well.
I'm really hoping that Megatron will be built up more as a huge threat in the new movies. No Unicron, or quintessons, or sentinel or the fallen or some shit. Just Megatron, his goals, his manipulation, his lust for power, his harsh leadership, and his relationship with Optimus. More time dedicated to one villain for these new movies. I understand for rise of the beasts they're doing something different, but after all's said and done, they need to start building him up more. Not seeing him in Bumblebee was huge. They need to use that idea to their advantage. Make the character a ticking time bomb that will be devastating once it explodes.
Love bayverse Megatron. I don't know why they would have a full conversation in the middle of battle though, I think minimal dialogue in the heat of battle is fine.
I feel like in prime Megatron may have just been trying to manipulate unicron to gain more power from him, but when that doesn't work he turns against him.
3:15 Can I just say how infuriating this quote makes me. With the context given it makes prime sound like if one dude was all it took for cybertron to come back he’d take it. I know it’s a megatron video but I just had to point that out.
I agree that Bayverse-Megatron is disappointing in thousands of distinct ways, but I like him because the quintology does a great job of demonstrating that he gets twice as desperate and twice as pathetic with every film. That's why he negotiates with humans. That's why he answers to any command beyond his own. That's why he takes an earthly alternate mode despite his disgust for humanity. Megatron has one goal throughout all 5 films, and that's the resurrection of the cybertronian species, and he gets more and more desperate to achieve that goal with every movie and every decision. Not every Megatron needs to be the same, Bayverse-Megatron is distinct, and I like that.

Megatron throughout the Bayverse (except tf1) was simply a side chick for the other main villains. I love the Bayverse for it's high octane action but they really don't know how to write character development. Galvatron was straight up pointless in AoE. He's just there so the autobots can have a generic army to destroy and to have Megs in a toyline, again. Then he does nothing in TLK and dies, probably.
Honestly I loved TF1 megs because he actually seemed like he could straight up kill the auto bots with no remorse like jazz but as the movie’s progressed he was just turned into some weak secondary villain that just keeps getting Bitched and told what to do by some generic old ass transformer. from any of the leaks I’ve seen from ROTB Scourge is supposed to be like megs in the ‘07 movie so I hope he is as brutal seeing as he seemingly “kills” bumblebee in the trailer.

ALL HAIL LORD MEGATRON!
Now revenge of the fallen was a straight mess. But the in universe explanation as to why he's so weak is when he gets revived at the bottom of the ocean he gets infused with the spare parts of a small constructicon. And at the end of revenge of the fallen he gets his face blown off by prime and that's why in dark of the moon he's weaker. Now I'm not saying this because I disagree with the video I'm just stating why he gets weaker. I'm sick of seeing Megatron be a pawn for someone else to use or just a bitch. He's Megatron, a destructive force, a living whirlwind of power, hatred and manipulation. I'd love to see Megatron be a sort of Thanos figure in these new films, he needs to be built up and taken seriously. And frank welker better return to voice the mighty lord Megatron.
@@thevilereviews7812 exactly, but that's just rotf for you. A huge lack of self awareness and not enough focus on the transformers themselves. megatron sucks in the movies. also I disagree I know a lot of modern versions of megatron wanna change cybertron for the better but the g1 version is just an evil guy. michael bay starscream should have been the main villain of 2 or 3 he's way fucking better than michael bay megatron. if any of you agree there is one piece of michael bay transformers related media where he's given the shot he deserves as main villain and is consistent with his movie one demeanor play transformers revenge of the fallen on ps3. unfortunately megatron is still resurrected in that game.. and proceeds to predictably do almost nothing much like the movies and is very boring to play as and sucks but starscream is the best character in the game by far with a broken ability , movement , fast transformation, fastest vehicle speed , great weapons and monstrous overdrive combined with his ability.
also idk about 2007 megatron getting in the middle of the fight in transformers 4 he only got involved in the battle at one point in transformers 2007 only to grab the smallest autobot and fly away even though we have no reason to believe he couldn't just crush all the autobots
@@monster-mecha_enthusiast_2002 not even close the first two are my favorite movies but starscream is the only villain in them doing anything. Are we just going to forget that unicorn made Megatron is bitch slave in the first movie? :/ When you think about it, that is literally what happened with him and the fallen, he was forced to be the way he is and was told lies by the first prime. And also no, you shouldn't flat out remove the fallen, because 1. He could easily be written better in the film. And 2. He actually had a decent goal in the comics about him simply caring for his world but unfortunately his view point is rather cruel as he viewed him and his brothers as superior beings to other alien races. And 3. They could have still had Megatron be multiplied by his name sake and once he realizes the lies or gets tired of listening to the fallen and his bullshit, he could have just betrayed him! So yeah we don't need to flat out throw him out. Same with the last knight Megatron because his design is just badass and he could easily just been be written Of course I prefer the 2007 Megatron because he actually felt like Megatron in that film. Plus his design just looks so good and fits this take of Megatron in that film. Also prime Megatron trying to work for unicorn was fine
I would argue that you could more make the Fallen not tied to Megatron, but that he could have been more in the shadows manipulating both sides (and be more his own thing, no connections to the Decepticons) and have the factions have to unite to fight The Fallen as maybe the Fallen sees Cybertron’s now as weaklings that can’t accomplish either Protecting what they care about from what’s to come nor have the strength to destroy the threats to come and to rule the universe. But that’s more of an idea from the top of my head, and not having The Fallen connected to Unicron directly.
The reasons why Megatron is struggling in the forest battle is because he was just revived after two years of being dead and has a new body with completely different limbs, and Optimus was able to train for those two years.

I just wanted a Megatron that not only can almost one any autobot but prime with his fusion cannon but even then, He can clap anyone without it including prime
And a Megatron that actual leads the decepticons like in the "All hail megatron" comic that would show how ruthless and tactical decepticons as a whole
THIS is what i want to the 3rd transformers movie after rise of the beasts
I want megatron to tell starscream that he and his seekers should clap the US air force AND the navy before the autobots saves the day
Just imagine that from the radical nationalists of cybertron. ALL HAIL LORD MEGATRON!
EDIT: I mean one shot with fusion cannon on the first part
I wish Megatron gave at least one line in ROTF about why he’s so weak
@@thevilereviews7812 exactly, but that's just rotf for you. A huge lack of self awareness and not enough focus on the transformers themselves. A simple scene between Megatron and starscream with Megatron talking about how weak he feels now that he's been infused with such "flimsy metal" or whatever slang term they could think of for weak transformers could've gone a long way.
megatron sucks in the movies. also I disagree I know a lot of modern versions of megatron wanna change cybertron for the better but the g1 version is just an evil guy. michael bay starscream should have been the main villain of 2 or 3 he's way fucking better than michael bay megatron. if any of you agree there is one piece of michael bay transformers related media where he's given the shot he deserves as main villain and is consistent with his movie one demeanor play transformers revenge of the fallen on ps3. unfortunately megatron is still resurrected in that game.. and proceeds to predictably do almost nothing much like the movies and is very boring to play as and sucks but starscream is the best character in the game by far with a broken ability , movement , fast transformation, fastest vehicle speed , great weapons and monstrous overdrive combined with his ability.
also idk about 2007 megatron getting in the middle of the fight in transformers 4 he only got involved in the battle at one point in transformers 2007 only to grab the smallest autobot and fly away even though we have no reason to believe he couldn't just crush all the autobots
Yeah yeah, we get it.
You like G1 and hate everything else, no one cares.
@@monster-mecha_enthusiast_2002 not even close the first two are my favorite movies but starscream is the only villain in them doing anything. I believe in a rule called show not tell you can tell me megatron is badass all you want but if he sits around doing nothing like a pile of shit that's exactly what he is
@@MogusMasterSaikawa22 Ok.

Are we just going to forget that unicorn made Megatron is bitch slave in the first movie? :/
When you think about it, that is literally what happened with him and the fallen, he was forced to be the way he is and was told lies by the first prime.
Same with the last knight Megatron because his design is just badass and he could easily just been be written
Of course I prefer the 2007 Megatron because he actually felt like Megatron in that film.
